Have a look at the number of parts required in this pic and link Don’t forget the cowling over the steering wheel needs to get changed so that there won’t be a big fat hole where the paddles were And most importantly, the engine ECUs need to get reprogrammed otherwise it won’t work. Good luck finding someone in Australia to do that properly. https://www.normalguysupercar.com/product/ferrari-f430-360-manual-conversion-kit/ Image Unavailable, Please Login
He did say $15-20k that was last year. He has most parts ready for his. I might wait until he does his first Deb was standing next to me and nearly broke a few ribs reminding me we had a kitchen to renovate
Mate, I just don’t believe that figure. If you are genuinely keen, you should start trawling the web for parts now. Most of that stuff is just not readily available eg the gear gate. Last one I spotted sold for US$1k and it was a used part.
Yeah I don’t know mate. Never got into it too seriously. Looks like people are manufacturing kits though. I’m still watching the below link!
Shoit Greg yer just don't get how 99% of Queenslanders on here use and trust Marc to do the work on their cars. You are used to $200+/hour labour costs and 50% markup on parts..................................we aren't! It's a loyalty thing as well. Some years ago Marc had a breakin and some F stuff was stolen. Some of us here helped out until the dust settled. Perhaps it's just a Queenslander thing, perhaps it's an enthusiast thing. I don't know what relationship Kim has with Marc,it maybe the same as the rest of us...hence the quote. My most recent example:Marc GAVE me a LH window motor for the 365 on spec...it works but I will have to do what Gizz suggested. He doesn't expect payment (yes something will be done re)....but that's how we roll here.
It’s not the labour cost, it’s the parts cost. You just can’t order this stuff through the dealer. It basically involves scrounging everything from multiple sources and also probably getting the unobtainable remanufactured.
It's definitely a problem. BUT, make sure you try the dealer for parts prices as well as the Eurospares etc. mobs. I've bought some stuff from the dealer that was substantially cheaper than the overseas sellers, and it had to come from Italy. I know yours is NLA, but I'm just saying in general.
That's a lot of parts to go out and source yourself to complete this job. $10K worth of parts and someone has added $10K worth of labour to remove these parts and to source them. And I don't blame them either.
And anothery this time in Sandgroperland: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1985-ferrari-mondial-quattro-manual/SSE-AD-12283299/?Cr=15 I'm afraid I just don't get not using your full quota of pics or putting in a full description of the thing you want/have to sell....particularly when you're soo far from prospective customers.
