296 Reviews on YouTube

In Maserati you get a much more advanced carbon chassis + butterfly doors + advanced engine. So why is the 296 so expensive compared to the Maserati?

 

296 will be $350k with mc20 $250k. wonder what difference in availability will be? are both sold out for 1st year already?

 

im sure i will get blasted for this but a new nsx type s would be interesting to see compared to 296.

 

I think Ben Stein could do a more exciting review.

Because the Ferrari is much more powerful and quicker.

 

MC20 are trading hands +$100k. They sold the first one here for $368k.

Shmee had meh video footage as far as quality, but was completely positive - lots of praise including many times he kept referring to the speed as "ludicrous" and similar adjectives.

 

I personally don't take these "reviews" seriously, nothing beyond PR. They'll give it glowing reviews and spit out factory specs for these quick runs... if they bash the car, they won't get invited back to the next reveal.

Car engine note is seriously lacking from these, wind noise is louder.

 

I’d say though it’s true that all reviews are great but the reviewers are no Jeremy clarkson… aside Rory
They are car journalists, YouTuber, enthusiastic but let’s put clarkson, Hammond and may in that car and let’s see the review. Clarkson in the 458 was awesome.

Not saying the v6 with GPF is going to sound loud, but recording the engine sound right in a mid engine car with sport camera is unbelievably hard.

 

Awaiting Chris Harris giving it full send,then we see how the dust settles.Have a feeling he will prefer it over the SF90.

yes- shmee is a lispy twit. annoying. shows the downfall of quality at the hands of popular online media

 

i've met shmee, he is a nice guy who has time for everyone and is a huge car geek

life is too short to hate someone for such mild reasons

Met him at the Abu Dhabi F1, super nice guy. Took time out to speak etc

no one said he belonged in front of a firing squad. and one is free to dislike or like whom one chooses. you're free to like him on whatever level you like. but my reasons are just as valid as yours.

 

of course, I wouldn't never deny the freedom for any individual to call him a lispy twit.

 

Clarkson and Harris are the ones I'm eager to hear from.

 

I find it odd people are drawing negative conclusions from trying to read into the “enthusiasm” of presenters, rather than their ultimate conclusions.

In the print publications, having read Top Gear, EVO, CAR and others’ take on it, it’s being pegged as the best achievement Ferrari has made since the 458. Certainly, everyone of them agrees it’s better to drive than the sf90.

 

Oddly enough, the written reviews are more exciting and detailed then videos.
