Mercedes zero sidepod confirmed. Good job Mercedes engineers! Respect! http://tieba.baidu.com/p/7754271054?share=9105&fr=share&see_lz=0&share_from=post&sfc=copy&client_type=2&client_version=12.0.8.0&st=1646893038&unique=EC060B0D8F5F31D760C957C2DCACDAFE

Ferrari showing so many features of their car days before the Barcelona test, Mercedes showing the revolutionary feature at the last moment to delay copying from the competitors. Why can't Ferrari do that? Also this is not the first time Mercedes showing a significantly different car at the final preseason test.
The sidepod opening is similar, just vertical instead of horizontal and looks like they’ve moved the rads down and filled in the undercut, even bulging out the lower part of the undercut close to the front of the floor so as to help evacuate this zone, similar to what Ferrari have done there.
From Autosport: 09:13 Hamilton's still going out there, bouncing along under the porpoise effect on the main straight.
Ohhhhh let’s hope we have another winning car. “Leclerc's circulating on the C4 tyres, finding time on Perez. The Ferrari doesn't look particularly porpoisy, just reactive on the bumps.”
[AMuS] Horner about the new Mercedes: "The new Mercedes violates the spirit of the regulations. For us, there are some parts that are not legal."
From FIA sources, #AMuS heard that they [the FIA] can already see from the CAD data for the legality check of the upgrades, that some teams are bringing upgrades [to Bahrain] that do not quite correspond to the spirit of the regulations.

“There's some strengthening cables now on the Mercedes to support the floor - perhaps trying to reduce flex and minimise the porpoising effect on the straights.”
With the budget cap and Mercedes being allocating the least amount of CFD and wind tunnel time, how are they able to build 2 completely different spec cars before even the first race? I tip my cap to the revolutionary ingenuity, but I question their book keeping.
