Sainz' comments are very concerning to me. It sounds like from what they can see on the GPS, Mercedes is heavily sandbagging and Ferrari know the car is a rocket.
Pffft, as if I'd believe anything that comes out of the Mercedes camp. The more they talk down their car, the more I think it's unbelievably fast.
People here worrying about Merc is a bit hilarious when there is no proof yet that car is even super fast. Since this is "ferrarichat"; people here could focus more on the fact that Ferrari finally has a strong car again.
I have no way of knowing that, do you ? Do you think Williams, Aston and McLaren make better chassis than MB ? Do you believe that the Ferrari customers have the same engines as the Scuderia?
If there is no proof Mercedes is super fast, then there is no proof Ferrari isn't fake fast. We won't truly know until qualifying. I do remember the gut punch in 2019, and 2016, and 2015, and 2014. I've read the book that Hamilton and George are quoting, it didn't have a happy ending.
I do find it quite hilarious that he got a job with the FIA as technical officer no less...despite the FIA throwing him in front of the WMSC for race fixing!
Yes, this is amasing. When Ferrari gets a break of some sort, even if it's temporary, the first ones to talk it down are the tifosi themselves. It's always doom and gloom for Ferrari fans on FChat. Instead of rooting for their favourite team, they go all negative.
They do (Mclaren unit). BUT, quite importantly, they have to ask their Mercedes overlords to use certain modes....Quite famously in 2014 Austrian GP Williams turned out to be very strong and were disallowed using the top engine settings as they could win the race that way.
He had a 5 years ban, I believe. So, you aren't much in favour of the rehabilitation of offenders, I see ...
Tifosi have simply learned from 10+ years of pre-season glory chants. And 8 straight years of Mercedes claiming they're nowhere, yet mysteriously dominate. Ferrari is looking good, but no reason to pop the champagne just yet. Nothing wrong with being a skeptic.
HAM...thought he could drive anything anywhere anytime? Maybe it really was the car... Likely they're just slowing it on porpoise... Image Unavailable, Please Login
It means that you seem to object for someone who has spent his conviction to be rehabilitated and given a job. The FIA gave Pat Symmons a 5 years ban (I think), not a life ban, so it's not surprising that he got his present position. I personally don't care, but your post indicate you don't approve of it. Am I wrong ?
Anyone have a spreadsheet of sector times? pick the fastest time from each of the sectors so far...add them. that's your theoretical... sjd
Yes and Ask Grosjean for a certain Belgian GP in 2015. He has something to say about the Mercedes power unit software.

Will Buxton @wbuxtonofficial "Having just spoken to Lewis he’s countered this with his own suggestion that if the BahrainGP was tomorrow it would be a Ferrari 1-2. The 7 time champ is far from comfortable and, he insists, the team is in no place to be holding back." You mean the guy who is screaming that his tires are shot then stays out another 10 laps setting fastest laps? we are supposed to believe him, or anything from team MB?
I don't understand that logic, for any engine supplier. It means they don't trust their own team to make a better car than the client teams, so they give them second rate engines. Is Ferrari really threatened by small teams like Alfa and Haas? Question.: Has any Ferrari client team ever won a GP in the whole of F1 history? I don't know any.
Toro Rosso with Vettel ( Monza 2008). Just imagine for one second the Mercedes factory team defeated by a customer team ala Brawn GP 2009 ? Toto would be fired immediately believe me.
