Where can i locate the pre bent piping that connects the caliper to the soft brake line? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I don't think that a new brake pipe will be pre-bent -- you'll have to do that yourself (so may need to buy a small hand tube bender). Not sure this is the one you need (as there seem to be front vs rear differences and LHD vs RHD in the SPCs), but they typically come straight: https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/ferrari/106671 Can you be more specific about year, version, model, front or rear, and LHD vs RHD so you can get the exact F part number that you need?
Europspares lists them. Superformance shows them (not the S shape but more U shaped?). https://www.superformance.co.uk/308/brakes.html
Trying to bend that looks like a nightmare! As RifleD said, I'd be very careful with the originals if I had to remove them for any reason. Maybe a SS brake hose would be the way to go if that OEM metal one was damaged?
+1 -- This is why it's much better to either have the caliper unbolted or the flex line end mounting released when installing the fixed line to minimize the chance of cross-threading. Once each male fitting of the fixed line is many threads into their corresponding female threads, then the rigid fixed line can get flexed safely a little (if necessary) when the caliper or flex line end is reattached.
Looking at the pic in post 4, the line seems to have a bit of a crimp in it at the lower bend...might be lighting though..
Mike the line was just dirty, here’s a pic after I cleaned and installed it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
