    Hey all,

My 348 is aftermarket John Deer green (looks pretty cool with black wheels and tinted windows actually) and is wrapped red right now.

I’m hoping labor prices go down soon and I can get a premium $8k paint job.

I’m thinking about doing factory red with a few extra clear coat layers, or…… a deep dark cherry iridescent red that shows almost black or bright red depending on lighting / angle.

I think an iridescent would be phenomenal on that car due to its wide hips and the side strakes.

Thoughts? I couldn’t find any photos.

Do what you like. I like the Green and Orange Lambo translucent colors.

I always thought this way, especially when changing colors a premium paint job is like 20K. 8k is a decent paint job. 3K is the wires car.

I have seen some Japanese 355's online over time with the type of red your speaking of.

Where I live; you couldn’t sniff a pristine color change paint job for double the price you mentioned. Wow. If it were me; I’d paint it Rossa between your options. The extra clear coats should make it stunning, but since this is at least the second paint job ~ the skies the limit. House of Colors has endless options & you can order samples. That may help you a lot.

I got a phenomenal paint job on by Datsun 280z around year 2008 for $3.5k. Candy molten orange. They molded on a bumper delete kit for that price too. Sure, after inflation that’s like $5.5k.

I’ll find a good shop for $8-10k for sure. Baby boomers with their MoPar stuff jacked up paint shop prices in my area. I may have to go to Texas, Arizona, or Nevada for some “new Americans” who have talent and reasonable expectations on annual income for painting cars.

prices go down? no chance. price increases certainly don't map inflation either.

fair play if you can get a respray for $8k. youd need at least double that minimum here. and if you wanted a top quality job i would budget triple.

A quality paint job is $20-30k dollars, because it requires near complete disassembly of the car. All glass, seals, interior and often times wiring harnesses. Budget accordingly once the painter knows it’s a Ferrari

I've seen that green before. I saw it in Vegas along the strip one time. Question is, what is the backstory on how it got such a crazy color green? Plenty of good greens to be had. This one was surprising.

Was it a "I didn't think it would look like that" sort of situation or did the guy just love that color green?

Or you could throw some yellow wheels on it. :)

No I know..lots of pictures online of it....and I've seen it in person actually. It slapped me in the face as I was driving by it. I was just curious the backstory on the decision to paint it such a color of green.

Honestly, as crazy of a green it is...I would leave it too. Wheel choice though becomes very important. A silver or bronze wheel would look MUCH better than anything black.

It does catch your eye but that color belongs on a Lamborghini or something not a Ferrari but to each their own

I remember that car. Used to park at a DMV service place on Flamingo at Durango.

Bit bright for me but doesn't look bad per se.
