Looking good for Port Douglas re fuel burn and distance between stops.

Today from Hyatt Canberra to Toolern Vale , to Bell street ,Balwyn then Kew .

In the old Imperial terms 33.9mpg nothing wrong with that from a performance 2.9litre V6..

I think I got it down to 7.5l / 100 km in the S on highway. The GTS will be slightly thirstier I assumed..?

 

Maybe 7.9l. I can’t recall exactly

 

Even better ,I was sitting on 115kph which is 1,900rpm, different engine one single turbo the other two.

I was happy as I was expecting less perhaps 9.5 to 10 per 100kms .

Just goes to show a performance engine on cruise can return a good fuel burn..

 

Looking up Shaggers fuel specs,as I never did one last year,and most hover between 17 and 23 MPG (some UK and some USA milage)....something I'm not looking forward to

,depends on what diff ratio she has , if yours still has a US final drive it will be closer to 17 then 23 .

If it helps Simon, as I'm going on the run and booking whatever way accommodation ,just shout me a beer each night and where square on the nights we share , its a mighty effort by you to do top end of QLD to the start even if some of the way your towing ..
