I am told this will not go on general sale. Ferrari are going to invite clients versus letting anyone order it Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
So like a patek nautilus? Sold as a reward for top clients only? Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
What I hear is that they are trying to be different to Urus and trying not to compete. Also the price is going to reflect the exclusivity. I am not sure its about a reward for top clients versus being an SUV which will be for a specific type of person of wealth to give it the status Ferrari desire for it. I don’t think it is about how many Ferrari’s u need to have bought. I also I think today there really isn’t a Ferrari you are able to order which is has a financial penalty, as the case may have been in the past. The other thing I think Ferrari may be trying to avoid is the SUV becoming a high volume car like Porsche SUV and Lamborghini Urus has become, and more so become their highest selling product. Ferrari needs to remain and foremost a race car company. This is all my own conjecture based on what I heard and filling in the blank’s, but it will be interesting to see how Ferrari handles putting this SUV into the market. Personally I don’t see my self being invited to buy one, and I think I am a reasonable customer of Ferrari. Then again I am in the camp of people who are on the fence about Ferrari introducing an SUV Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Just to put the mooted 5,000 unit production number into perspective, it’s about the same as the FF and Lusso combined. Ferrari is clearly not setting out to sell the PS as a volume product in the same way as VAG sells the Urus.
Same, got a call on Thursday. Waiting on email but was asked if I was in…seems like things are ramping up.
There is the other side of the picture- does a Ferrari client already have a pipeline of cars on order and will those who have not, and qualify to be called, be approached. I guess they there are only so many cars they can sell to the same clients. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
If it is super exclusive for the V12, it makes me both sad and relieved. Sad because I would probably order if it is as nifty as I hope. Relieved because I also will order 812 replacement if non hybrid. Three is probably silly. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I hear you. I am already waiting for 3 cars. One will come in next 2 months, 18 months for next and 3 years for the 3rd . Its a road map in itself. I dont see PS fitting into my plan right now. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
what car do you have on order that is a whopping three years out? 296? Congrats on all the incoming cars, by the way . The anticipation of incoming cars is at least half the fun, I have found. I’m about 12 months into an 18 month wait for GTS
I just got a Roma 2 weeks ago. April my GTS should arrive, its on a boat right now 18 months I ordered a much more custom Roma 2.5 to 3 years is a 296. Finish placing order for 296 last week. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
It is a very accomplished car. One has to get to understand the personality of the car. Its obviously beautiful looking but a best friend first as long as you don’t judge the book by its cover. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Who knows what the real criteria are but I do not meet the posted criteria either and Marcel is rarely wrong on these things. Was told the final car will be significantly different than the leaked pictures. Either way it’s exciting to get closer to seeing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I was being tongue in cheek. I thought that became clear by end of my post where I listed the F1 car ownership as a criteria. My post was a clap back against this cynical marketing department campaign that somehow the Purosangue is going to be this top client unobtamium. Let’s give some context: 1. Ferrari was torn internally and externally about whether to do an SUV at all and the idea of Ferrari building an SUV has been met with enormous criticism. Some have called it a sell out. Some have called it the death knell of the company, or at least it’s soul. Why would already successful multibillion dollar pure sports car maker Ferrari choose to weather this storm of backlash and risk to its brand? Two reasons. The first is the enormous sales volume and windfall profits seen by Porsche and Lamborghini with SUVs now comprising roughly half their sales. And Bentley has sold 28,000 of the Bentayga. The second reason is that SUVs have become a gateway drug for these brands and without one, Ferrari risks losing an entire generation of new clients. Any notion that this vehicle will be hard to get, after the first year, goes against the very reason for the vehicle’s existence. 2. This is not a limited number vehicle, not even in V12 form. Nor is it a Versione Speciale or Icona or other form of limited run, special, exclusive or collectors edition vehicle. 3. Ferrari have always been insecure about this vehicle as they know it goes against the grain of their ethos and history. Remember “It’s not an SUV it’s an FUV?” Calling it a Purosangue literally ‘pure blood’ is their first attempt to deflect criticism for making a truck like vehicle. The second is sticking a V12 in it which says “Look, this is a real Ferrari, it’s got a V12 and everything!” Now the third is this propaganda campaign by the marketing department that it’s a top client car and hard to get. It’s called trying to create FOMO and scarcity in the hopes of it becoming a self fulfilling flywheel effect. This is pure posturing. This vehicle will be made in multiple engine configurations, in large numbers and for many years. Everyone who wants one will get one, same as 812 GTS, Portofino M, and 296 GTB.
Not sure…just got a call and was told to keep an eye out and that i will have an option on an early car. Nothing on order for me right now but I do have a Porto, Roma and GTS currently (and an 83 308 but doubt that is moving the needle …but I do love it.) . Of the 10 new cars over the past few years, 4 have been v12’s so not sure if that matters or not.

I just want the V12 as a last Hurra on the V12, [emoji106][emoji1] There are not so many FUV etc out there that will have a really nice V12 … so unique in a way Gesendet von iPad mit Tapatalk
Congrats !
This [emoji1375] Can’t blame Ferrari. I’ve always loved the FF / Lusso but the initial enthusiasm for this crossover (“FUV”) seems far greater on these pages. And the market can’t get enough of these types of cars, in general.

And the market can’t get enough of these types of cars, in general.
I’m not blaming Ferrari either. In fact, I believe the Purosangue will be a great product for many reasons. Ferrari is a public company now and as such has a mandate to grow value for stakeholders and they cannot afford to ignore megatrends like EVs and SUVs. Just don’t get sucked into the outright laughable notion that they will be especially hard to come by. As is the case with nearly ANY modern Ferrari ( except the neither fish nor fowl FF and GTC4 Lusso ) they are generally built for a brief few years run and in quantities of a few thousand in total. So as long as it is decent and desirable, in a world of over 100-million millionaires, there will be enough demand to sell a few thousand worldwide in a few year production run. And, as with nearly any Ferrari vehicle, prolific clients who want one, get theirs the first year, and then everybody else gets theirs in years two and three. That will be the case here as well. It is conceivable that the V12 could sell out a three plus year production within one year of launch but the solution to that is simple: raise your hand for one early and you’ll get an allocation at some point. The smaller and hybrid engine configurations will be readily availabile to anyone who doesn’t wait two or three years to put down a deposit.
5,000 V12’s? Or 5,000 total production including all engine configurations (assuming there will be a V6 or V8 version)?
Congrats !
Agree on many points here and it clearly is smart marketing by them. Had a similar conversation when the sf90 came but this seems a little different. I have an ok history but certainly dwarfed my many others so I think you are right. I clearly didn’t make it the 812c or a land and that’s 1500 units. I thought the jury was still out on the GTS and if everyone who wants one will actually get it…hope they do as it’s a brilliant car
2800th post here. I’m still amazed how Ferrari is able to keep a car secret so well whilst quite many people Have see the car for sure. It’s even better than apple and their new devices. Great marketing and brand protection Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
