In the good old days ! I would be happy to sit 25kph over the limit and have a speeding fine now sit on 115kph in the 110 kph zone limits .. Labor shocking ....
I think it is, too. I was never a Simon or Moretti but now I don’t even think about speeding. It’s just not worth it. I set the cruise control at 5-10kph over the posted limit knowing that my car is really only doing 4kph over at the most. A quick squirt to overtake slow coaches and then back down is about as exciting as it gets.
I do 2 rallies a year with 7 to 8 friends we average around 2,000ks each run over 4 days not once in 10 rallies has anyone been booked ! We enjoy the secondary roads ,stops and the nights , its the way to go now ..

It’s pretty simple really- drive to the speed limit on the public road; have fun at track days and closed road events.
I still like driving quick , just do it in another country Book with a credit card I never use ....and cancel once I hand the car back....works everytime
Went for a great drive in the 308 yesterday. I might not have mentioned it, but gee I love my car. It was 31 degrees by the time I got home. I think that's about as much as the air conditioning will cope with in traffic. Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
