Back by popular demand, plus encouraged by the recent post COVID freedoms we are now allowed in this nanny state, Stoogefest 2022 is ON! Here are the suggested dates, all in May because FCA ramps up its events season in the summer. All Saturdays.

    May 7th
    May 14th
    May 28th

The turkey fryer will be ready to go, so sound off if you are bringing a bird to burn ;) I personally have 2, but will probably only do 1.

You all know the locale, but if you are new, PM me. We are in Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274 and not too hard to find. We have a brand new pavers driveway, regraded, so we need to keep the Mrs. happy by not destroying it. Also, you will find that it is WAY easier to get up and down - no fancy tricks to entry and exit. My life will be in peril if we drop a single bead of anything on it.

The menu, as always, is open. Feel free to consider bringing whatever you want to eat or drink. We will coordinate the menu later. For now I need the date. Consider light maintenance/repair projects you may wish to complete.

    I'll bring a bird.

I think any date works but I'm slightly partial to 5/7 then 5/28 then 5/14 in that order. Realize 8th is mother's day and 28 is memorial day weekend.

We can put down big HFT blue tarps for those changing oil and cut up some thin plywood for protection from jack stands.

Someone has to get a hold of the "professor." We have not seen him for a long time.

I think brake fluid flushes and transaxle fluid changes are commonly overlooked. Even doing just a brake system and clutch bleed is good to remove the most abused fluid out of the systems.

Brake pad changes and rotor changes are quick and easy at a stoogefest.

Simple coolant changes can be done at a stoogefest if the old system is not abused demanding complete and thorough flush.

Honestly, we have never had that request since mustard doesn't really go with fried turkey, wings or tri-tip. But, yeah, we'll serve it. :D

I got the tarps and plywood and stuff. The upper driveway is the same stamped concrete as before. I think we'll be fine. Personally, I'm kind of leaning towards sooner than later but I will let you guys decide - subject to sign-off from the Mrs.

@FBB, thanks for the date clarifications. Mother's Day is okay for me and Memorial Day weekend is usually noting on the Saturday. Personally, Id

maybe fly in and check the calendars for willow spring raceway, button willow raceway park, auto club speedway, Sonoma, Laguna scca, spring mountain in Vegas. Maybe make a vacation out of it and hit a race track? I just sold my racecar otherwise you could have run that. But spring mtn rents radicals and vettes. Button willow there are some rentals.

    Maybe one day.

One other thing I regret is missing the chance to meet up with you at Daytona a few years ago when our events were scheduled a week apart.

That picture is a good idea for a caption contest. What are Jackie Stewart and Chris Amon saying to each other?

That French onion soup gave me the runs all night. I can hardly stand up. I am glad we are sitting down in the race cars.

Its great to be back at your house Vince and maybe I can take the car up the drive way myself this time. I can bring the pistachio mouse pie for desert again. I will need directions when you get everything set.

Okay fans, I was going to pick the 14th. But if the majority is for the 7th, the 7th it is!

Book it. Let's get a casual head count so I know if we're parking 10 or 20 or 30 cars on the street. I can get a bunch up on the pad and driveway. Also, who wants to do what work. Fluid changes are pretty de rigor. Brakes no biggie. We can show you what we did to replace the fuel pressure regulators. Hey, if you want to install some headers, we're pretty fast with that. Or if you just want to sit around and tell lies, that's cool too.

I volunteer FBB for wing duty. I got at least 3 turkeys - me, Peter and FBB. Anyone else? We don't have to eat them all, BTW, so if you want to do one to take home, that's fine. Actually anything that can fit in a turkey fryer is probably good. Turkey size is 12.5 lbs max.

Lastly, we are zealot 348ers, but all Ferraris are okay. Leave the German stuff home. Be prepared for hazing (Ernie) if bringing a Maserati. ;)

Just some reminders of previous Stoogefests:

Pretty sure Jonathan still has it. Mitchell, can you check, please? It would be great to have it back so we can give it to Ernie for selling his 348s (both) for a Maserati flatbed special. Unless someone else proves the more deserving. :D Shoot, I have to find some tequila for the Stooge toast too.
