Conveniently left out the fatal accident that made Bob leave Italy almost overnight under threat of arrest. But the man was a total legend and Lamborghini would not have been what it became without him. John

I have to say I'm rather taken by one of these things after the B/S I'm having with the latest acquisition......even if it is a flappypaddle jobby: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2004-bentley-continental-gt-auto-4wd/SSE-AD-6764476/?Cr=8 Are they any good Greg and what probs,if any,do they have?
The cars themselves are probably excellent, but that particular one is ****ing awful. Absolute wanker spec.
0-100 in 4.3s, what’s not to like? They are bulletproof BUT I would not buy an 04 car. Needs to be 06 and up. Early cars need the engine out to get to the alternator if it ****s itself. Then the usual stuff, full service history, no warning lights especially suspension, air suspension is complex. We bought ours with 30k km and have put another 30km in 4 years with no issues at all. Great daily as well as long haul, it’s had numerous trips to VIC. It’s the archetypal grand tourer Image Unavailable, Please Login

Weirdest thing ever - a friend in tbe US had one of these when I was visiting in 2000 and they had the most gorgeous clean white face /green backlight Jaeger instruments...
Seems to be a thing here lately - people driving along, indicate to turn left into a street and then change direction ending up across the centre line of the street they’re entering, completely surprising cars following and also cars trying to turn right into the street they’re entering (and one nearly T-boned me as I was coming up to the line of the street they were turning into). I was taught you only ever do a Uturn ro the right because then you’re in a position to see down the street you’re entering and can remain stationery until it’s clear. Problem with the left U is they can’t see what’s xoming down the road they’re entering.

You missed the reference - Waggers coined the phrase ‘Pensionermobile’ he bought his Bentley for (I think) his 65th birthday!
