Yap, passing Cheko at the start would be perfect....
Congrats to Perez! I obviously wanted Charles, but I always love to see somebody to get their first anything, so good for him. It has seemed like Leclerc and Perez have had the best pace this weekend. We've got a hell of a 4 way fight tomorrow!
Doesn't even need to be at the start, the Ferrari's with the higher downforce set up will eat Checo for breakfast in the race
According to Marko Max struggles to get his tires in the perfect working window, while Perez seems to be a lot better at this. Unfortunately Chuck is on the dirty side of the track. Lulu had zero grip on rears according to Toto
Mercedes could breach parc ferme in order to get Lulu’s setup changed for tomorrow. Toto thinks it makes little difference to start from 16 or 20
Ferrari remains the most consistent package out there. We look good for tomorrow, Charles especially. Red Bull seemed to struggle to keep up with our pace all weekend, until Checo came out of nowhere. It does seem like Max is just a tick off the other three front runners. So good to see Alfa Romeo, Haas, and Renault/Alpine up looking semi competitive, as opposed to where they all were last year. Damn, those Mercedes cars look like utter dogs. It's clearly not just arrow either, as the other teams are struggling with them. It's going to take them all season to clean up the mess they're in.
They had too. I'm glad they stuck it out through the whole red flag period and beyond. Thank you Mother's.
Risk is part and parcel of life. And it would be very selfish to stop someone from doing what he likes, IMO.
Coming out of FP3, I was buying into the storyline that Max was about 3/10ths up on us. Glad that was bogus (maybe we’ve been holding back a little during FP?). Anyway, great to see our two drivers so smooth and consistent. Checo is a legend! Feel great for him - and GR as well.
I think the Mercedes is no good, and delicate to set up. Russell managed to get more of it today, but you cannot polish a turd !
Okay William, so how did Russell manage to get his car into Q3 and beat a 7xWDC title holder in qualifying whom managed at best P16....possibly starting from the pits IF Mercedes breached parc ferme rules.
Well, that was interesting. I wasn't sure if Sky would sign off or spend the rest of qualy speculating about Ham. (They went for the latter. ) Helluva lap by Perez. I like his comment: I could do 2000 laps and not have one like that. He knows he hit his golden lap. Given this loony track, I don't have much hopes for a good race. Anyone want to start a poll on how many red flags the race will have? (Make sure you set extended end point on your DVR.)
