We were are dinner for a rally, and some guy starts talking about getting speeding tickets during the Colorado Grand when driving a Ferrari LM. I had to ask, "Who are you?" Great guy.

The Montana Going to the Sun group decided to try a Spring rally. Damn, I talked with the couple organizing it, but I had too many martinis to remember their name. It was a great run in Austin.

He almost sold me a Dino GTS back in 1984. Drove all the way from Georgia to White Plains to look at his silver GTS with exactly 16,000 miles. Ended up getting mine from Ed Waterman when he was first setting up shop in Florida.

My favorite. I’d rather have an LMB than a GTO……values aside of course.;)

Somewhere there must be a great in-car YouTube of Bobby Rahal hustling a 330LMB around Goodwood. The g forces are pulling the key fob almost horizontal.:)

Let me guess. He wanted $40,000, and you thought that was too much. :D

To me the Sensuale, was, is, well... I'm not sure. I guess I can commit to that.

I ran over to Nick's a few summers ago. Kelly Dietrick said he had a really nice SII XKE. It was a pretty nice car. Way too much money so I passed, but cool shop.

I've met him when he was running his 450S with the marine engine at Pocono. I don't think I ever saw that car run reliably there though. I spent an hour just staring at the incredible braking system with all of those fins for cooling. It was just really great of him to bring to the concours and run it at the track all those times. Hats off to Joe Corbaccio for making that happen so often and this too:

He spent at least an hour chatting with my wife and I while he was still at the White Plains location. He is a very nice guy.

I lived not far from that store while in HS and it was at least part of the inspiration for eventual ownership.

I think I recall his rock bottom price as $33k or $36k. He had another fellow that was interested and his mechanic gave the car his blessing. I drove all the way up there to check the car out and the battery was dead so no test ride (they new I was coming). Car was very nice. The other fellow beat me to it.

    Bob,
just an FYI the engine in Nick’s 450S #4508 is not a Marine engine. It is engine #4511 which was an enlarged capacity version of the engine. The Marine engines came later in production.
