    Mechanic is working on my car, and the previous owner installed some sort of guide pulley (and possibly the bracket that it’s mounted to)? Can anyone with a 5.2 confirm if there is a part that goes where this pulley (pic attached) is, or if it’s just the throttle cable?

    That's not factory. On mine there is a mount on the thermostat housing

    Thanks guys. I have that bracket. Cannot for the life of me figure out why they added that additional pulley.

    Did you remove it? Did you notice any change in throttle behavior? I wonder if this was put in as a remedy for the 'sticky throttle' issue, as the updated quadrant lever angle tried to address as well.

    We did, but it was likely there to raise idle. Don’t ask…
