Introducing Fabspeed Motorsport USA newest development, our performance exhaust system for the Ferrari F8 Tributo, all coupes and spiders worldwide!

A Sound Improvement: Sport Catalytic Converters
Give your F8 a nice boost in overall exhaust volume with Fabspeed HJS German Sport Catalytic Converters. Because they are so much more free-flowing than the factory catalytic converters they let a lot more of the twin-turbo V8's exotic exhaust note through. Money back guarantee that NO CEL lights or any other negatives resulting from removing the GPF ?

I don't believe any power gain is on anyone's mind at all. The F8 is pretty fast. Its the damn GPF and its removal.

I would have thought with the release you would describe what is done with the sensors relative to the GPF ?

 

Great to hear from you again Mandalay, You never got back to our previous PM regarding your prior comments!

In terms of the GPF and sensors, We are currently still developing Bungs to mitigate the filter issues. However, as I'm sure you know, they are extremely finicky.
Thus, further, development is needed before we can fully guarantee no issues or CELs after GPF deletes.

SO I guess I should wait before buying my exhaust from you guys then if you are potentially making changes?

CEL?

 

High flow cats and the center muffler bypass will not cause a CEL, unfortunately, our Valvetronic may cause a CEL.
Really not much can be done outside of tuning the CEL out. However, due to the current EPA regulations, it is now federally illegal for us to alter the light.

 

Any long term effects on the gpf from high flow cats? Also do you have a sound clip of this setup youre describing? DP, stock rear. How is the volume increase?

 

Just curious but if its illegal to alter the light due to EPA regulations then how is it legal to remove the GPF per your prior post?

I know you guys are trying your hardest for solutions but other than cosmetic body changes the war against valve opening , GPF and the like are all stacked against the F8.

I think its a case of like the sound of the F8 and get over it. Saw one yesterday on the road side by side and let him take off. Sound is subdued .

 

GPF's are not mandatory in the US yet, therefor their removal is not an issue, other than the CEL it creates.

Furthermore, High flow cats are legal, just not in CA. Bypass pipes and altering engine lights caused by emissions defeat devices are the issues in the eyes of Uncle Sam, currently.

 

No long-term effects that we have experienced, Our HFCs are just as effective at scrubbing your exhaust gasses as the OEM cats are so no worries there!

Unfortunately, we do not have any clips of just HFCs and the OEM rear section. I will make sure we get that added to the list of content for you guys.

Thanks very much, John. For those of us who want to improve the sound but dread the deadly CEL, or worse voiding the warranty and/or not being able to pass smog, it seems like your “X Pipe” is the only-game-in-town!

 

Just ordered one ....spoke to my local Ferrari service ...they will do the install and no issues with warranty....stay tuned for the results as how the sounds will improve ....

 

I would definitely be keen on a clip of how the exhaust note changes with just running the sports cat with stock exhaust!
