Far out. That’s some big numbers. I didn’t realise it was quite that fast, so just did a test myself. Turns out it is literally 5x faster than my home wifi. Yet we manage to stream HD content all the time with no issues at all at 100Mbps. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

FFS more wind propaganda. 2.2GW is the PLATED capacity, which is only achieved in ideal conditions. This hideously expensive project will increase electricity prices for consumers and deliver no more than 5% of the state's power needs for a few hours per day. The only winners are the people who make and install the things. btw what happens to the sea floor and its ecosystem when the giant concrete foundations are dropped in? Who pays to remove the foundations and windmills when they rot away after 30 years?
It's a massive undertaking, isn't it? I can't get my head around how it's viable. And sea water never plays well with anything. Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
Just for Ian https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-60984663 Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
Read it to the end: Some participants in the IPCC process are highly sceptical that these approaches will work. "The idea of quick emissions reductions and large negative emissions technologies are a concern," said Prof Arthur Petersen, from UCL, who was an observer in the approval session. "There are a lot of pipe dreams in this report."
I know, that's why I posted it for Ian to tear apart. Are you Ian? No! Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
No, however like the rest of us, he wishes he was. And why wouldn't you? Have a gander. [emoji16] Image Unavailable, Please Login

I love that number of 13.2% leaking during shipping (most will be during transfer to and from shore storage) and I wonder if we'll see any discussion of this report from the carpetbaggers and idiot politicians who are boosting "green" hydrogen.
And while we're here, next time a lefty tells you that extreme rainfall events are climate change, send them to this paper. https://www.mdpi.com/2073-4441/13/22/3264/htm For the TLDR gang, here's the key summary: Even outside of the scope of this paper, it can be stated that, recently, in a study region located in central Italy, extreme rainfall events characterized by duration 24 h have not clearly and significantly deviated to trends observed 50–80 years ago. Therefore, despite in this region the effects of climate change having produced a continuous decrease in the annual rainfall amount and a significant increase of annual and monthly air temperature, these proclamations that try to attribute to climatic changes also the responsibility for the worrying hydrological and geological instability of the regional territory are not at all justified.
That may be true in central Italy, but definitely NOT true in places like Brisbane: https://www.brisbane-australia.com/brisbane-river-flood-history.html (isn’t updated for the 2022 flood(s) plural because many places were inundated jusr a couple of weeks after the Feb event.) HOWEVER, there are many other parameters that come into play, aside from just ‘climate’; chief among them is development (with reduced scope for water absorption when everything is concrete or bitumen; flood plains being developed, etc)
I'm disappointed, but he's probably got better things to do. https://www.9news.com.au/technology/elon-musk-turns-down-twitter-board-position-in-lastminute-decision/1f9122ba-6842-4163-a64b-da94fb7f163d Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
