    Hi Ferrari friends ..
    I have a issue with my F430
    headlight washer.

When I turn on the lights the car blows
Fuse AF5 (license plate light and switch light) 7.5 Amp
If I put larger fuse in 10 Amp it does not blows. but! then headlight washers start. I have checked AR11 20 amp relay for license plate light and contact light and it is ok.
If I take the fuse for headlight washers AF 13 30 Amp, the headlight washer continues to run ..

Does anyone know of this problem? or is it someone who can help with an electrical diagram of the headlight washer

    Thanks in advance

Here's the basic diagram for the headlight washer pump:

Interesting. It looks like the headlight washer pump timer module "LN09" has two power sources (battery and ignition power). Ignition power comes from the same source as the number plates and switchlights (i.e. fuse AF5 and relay AR11). Could the headlight washer pump timer module be faulty? The internals of the module are not shown in detail. Could the key power on pin 5 of the module be shorted to pin 2 of the module, running the pump? The pump uses a 20 amp fuse, so maybe it is too much for the 7.5amp AF5 fuse to handle.

(EDIT: Looks like the timer module is under the dash on the left hand side (next to the Window ECU). I originally thought it was in the luggage compartment)

Strange. That's where the Workshop Manual says it is.

The parts manual was of no help. It says the headlight washer timer is "item 21", but the diagram shows many item 21's (with different part numbers) in numerous locations.

The wiring diagrams did offer an alternative location: See "LN09" below.

If the luggage liner is held in with long metal screws, perhaps it has shorted the timer wiring. Have you done any work in this area?

If needed, the earth (masse) for the timer is "GCL8" in the diagram above.

    Hope this helps.

Bingo - I just tried to disconnect the LN09 relay and now the fuse dont go off anymore

Perhabs it is the relay ! I will replace it tomorrow - I dont think it is the wireing because everything is original and has never been a part..

    I will let you know

Thank you so much so far

Sounds promising. Perhaps an internal short. Once you have found a replacement, perhaps you could remove the case from the relay and take some photos of the internals? Maybe there is something obviously broken inside?
