    spats, yes rear wheel covers. maybe thats just a british term?
    no pix sorry. it was here in the early 2000’s. now part of Collier(sp?) collection in florida.

    More so with the LWB 2600 mm wheelbase of the Series 2 as opposed to the Series 1 SWB 2420 mm wheelbase?

    They aren’t quite as dramatic on a dark colored car, simply because of the lower contrast. I do like them, though.

    A very good workshop I visited in early 2019.

    They did perhaps the best job ever restoring a Khamsin that used to be the worst barnfind rat and I have seen many restorations of that Maserati model and as far as Maranello goes they were restoring an ex Lord Brocket 166 Berlinetta, most impressive.
