I have been following the posted casualty statistics since the first day of the war and have no reason to doubt the posted Ukrainian statistics. The US/UK/NATO generally corroborate within a couple of days. With the speed of combat it is hard to count. One interview with a Ukrainian commander stated that when a tank is destroyed by a Javelin/NLAW/etc there are not enough human remains left to fill a 1L jar. A multitude of bodies have probably been vaporized. I can speak Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian and it has been a whirlwind following the variety of sources available. Hum, not totally. The aircraft yes, but some weapons are indigenous Ukrainian designs such as this one: https://www.armyrecognition.com/ukraine_ukrainian_army_vehicle_missile_system_uk/stugna_stugna-p_anti-tank_guided_missile_technical_data_sheet_specifications_description_information.html
Well Ukraine was responsible for 30-40% of the Soviet Military industrial complex. It isn’t entirely fair to say “Russia’s designs”. In the west it is a common misconception that Russia = USSR and vice versa. Russia is much weaker militarily (technologically),economically, and politically. These reports of Russia modernizing their military have been interesting to me as since 2014 they have not had access to crucial Ukrainian aviation parts from companies such as Motor Sich that China sought to acquire. KC-10s and KC-46s are very handy since they can refuel fighters all the way in-theater while carrying the fighter maintenance personnel, weapons, parts etc.
Damn! This is amazing! The Ukrainian anti-tank guided missile Stugna-P can shot down combat helicopters too! Another russkie KA-52 bites the dust: https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb96J75D8c4/
I was reading that before the shot they aim the laser guide purposely off center of so as not to trigger the helicopter's countermeasures alarm. After the shot the missile does the job to seek for the big prize.
Sadly the West is not doing enough. Ukraine everyday is hit by cruise missiles coming from the Black Sea, Russia, or Belarus. NATO could use long range missiles from stealth aircraft to shut down the Tu-160z or ships launching these missiles.

Russian attacks on civilians have no tactical value. And in the east, they're mostly killing other Russians. Meanwhile, the Russian army is still taking huge losses of men and equipment. Russian Air Force Bombs Russian Army Positions https://www.cityam.com/kremlin-furious-as-russian-army-suffers-significant-losses-after-bombing-own-unit-mistaken-it-for-ukrainian-troops/ "After receiving heavy losses due to the bombing, the commander of the 38th Motorized Rifle Brigade, Colonel Andrei Kurbanov, turned to the commander of the Eastern Military District, Colonel General Alexander Chaiko, furious that most of his unit had died." The Russians have been using UAVs the whole time, just less successfully than the Ukrainians. And, I'm not buying the story about the Neptune cruise missile hitting a Russian ship. It would be great if true, but highly unlikely.
I think what he's saying there is that there is more of a reliance of UAVs now, based on the number they've been seeing, and shooting down.
