To me it looks nothing like that 488 or F40 in verde abetone and that's my issue. I did email NYC the picture yesterday but doubt I will get an answer before Monday. I am doing a Roma and though Green would suit this car well... If I can't find a green I like I will revert back to a grey...
You're damn right ! I thought about green the first time I saw the new Roma May I suggest verde Zeltweg ?
True, can almost be mistaken for black in poor lightening, but looks absolutely fabulous in bright sun IMO . A matter of taste !
I also had the same thought. But I think the curvaceous lines of the Roma are more suited to a lighter green. My thought was: Image Unavailable, Please Login A more recent example: Image Unavailable, Please Login Another possibility would be Francesca, which someone has already done: Image Unavailable, Please Login In the end I went with Grigio Taitanio because I decided I preferred driving the Porto M over the Roma and wouldn't keep the Roma long so no reason to get a special paint.
Verde Bahram (an historic colour from Pininfarina - code 2.443.546 ) would suit the Roma if you are looking for a lighter green. Here it is next to Grigio Chiaro 4301 leather and Verde 4305 leather if you are looking to do a more individual car. Image Unavailable, Please Login And against Cuoio Toscana leather. The car is indisputably Verde Abetone, if it looks otherwise to you, it’s because the photo you’ve posted is highly edited. Here, in these unedited photos you can really see the true paint colour. I tend to agree but look at the difference with some other week known abetone cars: Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All other cars consistently look like that f40 There is a big difference in terms of depth and shine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just because the paint has the same name it does not mean it is the same colour. You need to look at the paint code or compare it with a similar year of car. Ferrari are always messing with the colours. Look at TDF and how many times that has changed or Rosso Portofino which came not long ago as a pinkish red and 2 layers, now it is 3 layers and much darker.
In the sunlight, edited and shot on a professional camera…You should be sceptical of how the paint appears in photos. I would trust (Aside from seeing the paint in the flesh) unedited iPhone photos the most to get the best understanding. Maybe I am wrong. But compared to the Abetone F40 here, in natural light with a regular iPhone camera it seems to be very, very close to me. Did my Tailor Made session at the factory on the 6th and am going with Verde Francesca and matte green carbon inside and out. Interior will be tan and green peccary except the areas like upper dash which I have to do in black leather.
This SF90 is the same exterior combination of Francesca plus matte green carbon: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you for the info guys- We will see on Monday - that green would be for a Roma - if I have doubt I will do a grey (ferro maybe ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds amazing David, so looking forward to seeing it when it arrives, do you know if they named the colour after the Tailor Made lady and did your dealer give you an indication of delivery date? I had a similar colour on my radar [Verde Medio metallic] when I was changing the colour a month or so ago, but I showed this photo to my wife who did not like it at all, and I was not brave enough to go for it. Hard to beat Triplo Strato. While on the top i of yellows, does anyone know of how many Tailor Made or extended range yellows exist? Seems like the one colour that isn’t often explored. All I can think of is Giallo Lady Gaga. Credit to @458mrp on Instagram. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
