What I don't know about this is immense; hoping to learn.

Is it possible to desolder the OEM chip, solder in a chip socket, then copy the OEM chip to a rewritable chip and insert in the socket?

What is a piggyback ECU and how does it work?

    Has anyone done this?

^^^Thanks. Exactly what I was looking for.

Seems a lot easier/cheaper to use a piggy back computer? Any downside?

It was F355Bob. Been in touch with him and Unichip the company that makes the piggy back computer. "Almost" seems like a no brainer?

Has anyone used an LM-2 to measure AFR's on a 355? If they're bang on there isn't much point in remapping the ECU.
