Need more sidewall. Low profiles look awkward in an SUV- like seeing too much cuff/socks when the sleeves/pants are too short.
With no off road capability and without high driving position, Ferrari Mall Crawler, sounds appropriate. [emoji6] T
Funny how things go: “Ferrari SUV! Awful, no souls death of Ferrari!” “Not Ferrari SUV, 4 door four seater touring! Awful, what’s the point? Just a four door version of Lusso! How stupid, no soul, death of Ferrari!!” Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Whether it is 1900 kg or 2300, with a higher center of gravity it won’t handle as well as the Lusso unless Ferrari engineers have some pixie dust up their sleeves. Then again if it handles better than the other uber SUVs out there it will still be a blast to drive. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

I'm beginning to like it more as time passes. As sporty as it gets in SUV segment, much nicer than lambo, for example. But not sure about weight though... @355 why is it approximately 400kg or so over Lusso? I was hoping ( maybe unrealistic) that they keep it under 2 tons .

true, but they are not based on same platform ps is on porto/roma platform and should be (significantly?) lighter, right?
I think Ferrari has a HUGE winner, especially if they market it this way: Many have worried about Ferrari building an SUV. Rest assured, we never have the intention of building an SUV. We have and always will design and build high performance, beautiful road cars. Recognizing our customers' desire for a vehicle in their stables that can provide some more utility than our two seat sports cars, we have developed what we call a Ferrari Utility Vehicle. In every way, this new car stays true to our DNA, both in extreme performance and elegant looks, while providing features we have built in cars from our past, but with a heightened level of comfort and utility. The FUV - we call it the Purosangue - is every bit the Ferrari road car and in a league of its own. It's not meant to be an off-road vehicle. Other manufacturers excel at building those, nor does the Purosangue share those SUVs' dynamics which would limit its road performance potential. Again, the Purosangue is what our customers' have always expected from their Ferrari cars. This time, we've just added some more headroom. Please welcome the Ferrari Purosangue!
I don't know why people are calling this an SUV. Looks to be about the same ride height as a luxury sedan.
The encore (2025) will be the first all electric FUV...that is, all DNA removed from the powertrain...what then?
Ferrari will make the case that they are in the business of providing optimal performance with the latest and greatest of technologies. We know this hasn't always been true. They were late(r) adopters of mid-engines, disk brakes, carbon fiber chassis, and cupholders - just to name a few. When they do move forward, they generally get it right.
But, none of that will be true, they will be using the same battery pack and electric motor technology as everyone else. Their claim to fame, their superior award winning combustion engines removed. The Yasa (company) electric motors (used in SF90) is now owned by Mercedes Benz. Ferrari will become only an aggregator of technology used by others, they already are for most of the cars they make but not the engines...but when those are removed, it's a badge, a 'lifestyle', which will appeal to many, but they will be on the outside looking in for the entire drivetrain as it will all be outsourced, sad.
That's quite a leap to call batteries and the electric motor the entire drivetrain. How those integral components of a much larger whole are utilized by Ferrari to deliver mind-bending performance in an exquisite machine will be what continues to separate Ferrari from nearly all other car manufacturers. Put another way, if every car manufacturer used the exact same batteries and electric motors, Brand X's affordable sports car will have nowhere near the performance or total technological prowess as Ferrari's entry. It's how Ferrari will integrate those common parts into its total package that will make the vast and measurable difference.
The camouflage of this last mule shows the lines well, allowing to deduce what the Purosangue will be. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Geezuz my biggest fear came true, it looks exactly like a Roma on steroids…I’m sure they will sell a boatload though…
