If they have a grand opening celebration, I might just drive up. Hopefully other Ferrari owners in the region will do likewise.
I moved here to Tennessee almost thirty years ago just as the only quasi Ferrari dealership dropped the marque to focus on the other brands that were for sale at Thoroughbred Motorcars. It is really cool that we have a Franchise dealership. German Motorcars has been maintaining my 458 Italia since I purchased it. Jonathan is phenomenal when it comes to service and I will most likely continue with him. However, this dealership is a great way to get people who own these cars involved with the community of owners. It is easy to feel a little disconnected except for the very rare event or the near impossible task of trying to get to cars and Coffee in Brentwood. This also makes buying a more recent model practical for the simple reason of getting service and repairs under warranty without traveling to Atlanta. This is very cool. I have been hoping for this for a very long time.
If we get a date and are welcome, I'll put a FCA drive together leaving from BHM and picking up the Huntsville guys if we get enough participation. Looks like a 3 hour drive up 65, Drew
Are any of the Atlanta-area FCA members interested in doing likewise? Maybe we could pick up some Chattanooga people on the way.
I went to the dark side and bought a Lamborghini but hopefully I won't be an outcast!!!! It would be great to have some regular meetups for Italian cars. C&C has long ago become to much and I would love to have some F1 race gatherings like we did several years ago.
I'll be driving past there (on Rt 40) twice late this month, but it sounds like there won't be much to see yet.
I'm thinking sometime in early July. The Grand Opening will be months later but I will have a small "soft opening" event for the local fellas. I'll keep you posted. Early July according to our project schedule. I'm planning on having a small private event just for the local Ferrari guys, a meet & greet with my staff and show everyone around the dealership.
