    Steve, Perry may be thinking of that 212 coupe- the c/n escapes me but the description he's giving makes me picture what I think is the right car. Not sure if that will jog your memory (as well).

    The one I'm thinking of was a 166 owned by Stephen Dudley. It was in unrestored condition and raced at Road America. Race number 39. Not sure if he is an ophthalmologist as there is one in Wisconsin by that name.

    It was medium blue at the time, I spoke with him and his wife a lot back then they were at the Tour Auto in France 1998. He had a toy rubber duck in the back of the car, some sort of good luck charm. Rowan Atkinson aka Mr Bean was competing as well and was seen looking inside the car and being very perplexed by it:)
    At Elkhart Lake Wisconsin I drove the car with him during parade laps, a privilege of course but those cars were hard work to drive.

    Oh..the 911 is a nice car! Even if the 996 is the worse of them all.

    I prefer front engined Porkers, had four of them:)

    Those side mirrors are not the worst offense I have seen lately, Gullwing Motorcars was showing a Ghibli on which they were on the front fenders and...facing forward!

    The man from Copley (whose name I forgot) has a very consequential client: Leslie Wexner of Victoria's Secret etc; he is actually his go to man for sales and acquisitions, hence a number of the cars he sells are Wexner's.

    Apparently he had a 575M and if you Google further there are theories Briatore was one of his accomplices...of course the one I nickname Flatulo Bribeadoor has a very shady past himself and is suspected of having murdered his boss decades ago...quite a rabbit hole to go into...I think Epstein got "terminated" because he defrauded the wrong person....
