I did that in 1991....except after renting back I bought something else for 30% less. Complete fluke though. Sig www.pless.com.au/mechanics.htm
On a side note, Toyota dropped the ball with the new 300 series. Could have been SO much better! Kinda reminds me of Ferrari, it doesn't matter Toyota builds next.................people will buy it regardless.
Yep, I agree. I am telling some mates of mine who want to buy a house in Brisbane to keep saving for another two years and buy in at 20% to 30% cheaper.
BtW, that $3000/m figure is HALF what we are now using for budget estimates on top end unique homes... What was a $2m build in 2017 is now at least $4m... and the increases haven’t stopped - got notice of 25% increase in some timber costs last week.
No way you could ever get a 600sqm place built on the Coast for that in these times...even basic stuff would be closer to $2m, IF you could find someone to do it.
Yep, the last 2 properties I bought both less than the previous owners had paid (1 was only a few thousand, but they’d owned it for 10 years or so; second was about a 10% loss for the previous owner, again over about a 10 year period). No great insight on my part, just luck. Current place has almost doubled in 5 years - just nuts.
Bloody hell!! Are they making them out of gold? I was thinking building material costs were up because of lack of supply due to Covid lol But it's all good, when interest rates go up, no one is building, suppliers will lower material costs to move them out the door and that's when Pappy will build his McMansion.
Yep, no ****. $1,037,690 was their build price. I have their email with their quote, specs, site plan, inclusions etc. They were ready to sign us up August last year with a $8500 deposit, but the Wife never asked when they would start the build. Not that I am/was ready to build anyway. I had a quick look at it all again, it even comes with a 2KW solar system lol. This is the house design, it was their biggest home at the time which is why I told the Wife if she's going to get a quote for a house, quote the biggest one they have because I don't expect my kids to be able to leave home until they are 30+ years old so I want the room to have everyone live there comfortably as adults. The Lumiere - New Signature Home Designs By Metricon Homes But looking again just now it seems they have this house which is even bigger again and more expensive no doubt. I really like this one and hopefully build prices will come down a little in a few years time. The La Pyrenee Home Design By Metricon Queensland
