I still think Stress of running a high volume ,constant pressure business and years and years of constant work with few holidays bought about my cancer . As they said in Peter Mac , "we can't confirm stress caused your cancer ? But if you can retire! I did ..

 

Umm, no. I’m from very average stock, money wise. All of my relatives whom have passed away have managed to pay for their own funeral and that’s about it. Not so much as a house left behind anywhere. And that’s absolutely fine with me.

I’d be embarrassed to attribute my “success” to my family rather than my own hard work.

 

I do enjoy my job, for sure. I honestly think it’s one of the best jobs in the world, and I get a kick out of walking up to the jet every day.

Wish it paid more, but doesn’t everyone?

Having said that, I still wish I could retire in a few years!

 

The answer is: "Yes, it could come back." That five year thing is statistical risk - it never drops to zero, but most recurrences happen in the first five years (skewed to the first two years). same while i come from money on both sides , my fathers father serious wealth in todays world a Billionaire and on my mothers side the T.W Sherrin football people...whatever I have ,I earnt myself , its a nice proud feeling to know i made it all.

You enjoy your Job, keep going as long as you can , just be smart and have more time to yourself , if you can .

Perhaps some of my grandfathers business sense but more so my grandmother she was the brain .

I was lucky that I hooked into a style of business early , new how to advertise ,match clients and for many years where we needed could place business with institutions that paid large fees of up to 1.8% lent .

And always had a loyal client following ,my partner has clients that we 1st had in the 90s still with him .

 

My grandfather gave apart from a small amount willed to his children gave a massive estate to charity , a good thing as his children were successful anyway .

His business when sold ended up being Susans ,at its peak over 100 shops and 4 or 5 knitting mills.

And i never heard any of his family complain about how his estate ended up , thats class.
