Let's say I wanted to drive Pacific Coast highway from LA to San Francisco in my Testarossa. I honestly don't know if the road is still good. Last time I looked it had large sections fallen into the sea. But let's assume it is for this scenario. The last time I drove it in a rental car I noticed there are zero gas stations or rest areas for quite long stretches. I don't think the testarossa with its 12/miles per gallon or so could make it on one tank. Any thoughts? Or has anyone done it?

Plenty of gas stops. Just plan accordingly.

longest stretch is 74 miles…. Cambria to Big Sur

long drive. Have u ever serviced your front wheel bearings?

If your tank is 30 gallons and mileage is 12/mile you are not going make it from LA to SF on one tank, as it is about 500 miles using the Coastal Hwy 1. But there are plenty of gas stations in most areas even in Big Sur there is at least one station on that leg. It was clear of problems from LA to Monterey three weeks ago when I drove it.

Plenty of exotics do that route during Monterey Car week. Many get worse mpgs than us.

I did that route a few months ago. It was open and in great condition. Just be careful of rocks on the road. They will puncture your tires.

Years ago I did some long drives on my old 87 Testarossa and I would get around 15 - 18 mpg....maybe even slightly better on flat stretches....
