The virus hasn't "gone away", like the Spanish flu before it , it has mutated into a less dangerous version the human race can live with.

The lockdowns and masks plus all of the other precautions were to limit damage until the vaccines arrived to limit the damage further.

Sure we would have survived without it but tis is the 21st century where "every life" is precious, some more precious than others

The one thing that has given me the shjts are the anti-vaxxers who NEVER contributed to us returning to a "normal" state in the first place when we were all able to .... selfish CLINTS, non-human beings and arrogant tw@ts .... inconsiderate arseholes, fnck them and the Horse they rode in on

So yes the COVID pandemic is over but mutations of it will be around forever, only the old and infirm need to take precautions, just like the yearly flu shot precaution
