Sorry, maybe I am a bit dense, please explain?
Are those fake boats? Will there be a fake sea?
Will Naz and/or Beyoncé be having parties on fake boats in a fake sea?

See the great F Chat thread “Florida? Yep Florida”.

Boats are real, water (to be added) real, but the idea of it being a marina is totally fake.

NAS and Beyonce could attend, or for added fakery...why not have Michael Jackson as a hologram? Hee hee!

Oh guys cmon. This race is going to be a gas! This is going to be solid entertainment, which is needed after the Imola snoozefest.

Let's hope so. Another new track to discover, that's exciting in itself.

It may turn out to be very good and the beginning of a long association between Miami and F1.

Soon 3 GPs in the States ...

Hmmm… I was thinking the Miami Grand Prix would be better than a Vegas Grand Prix for next year. I still can’t believe they are going to have three races in the USA next year!!

I think Vegas will possibly be the best race on the calendar spectacle wise. I’m definitely going.

just making fun of the final location chosen. As Mayor said, they had the opportunity to make it really special but didn't...
Agreed. People are moaning about the Layout but are quick to forget that Red Bull Ring brings good racing, as did the 2020 Bahrain short circuit.

His deputy Eduardo Freitas has also tested positive, but the Portuguese was already committed to the World Endurance Championship event at Spa on the same weekend, so was not due to travel to Florida.

Mercedes targeting Miami for critical F1 upgrades
Mercedes is hoping that the upgrades aimed at helping it run its 2022 Formula 1 car lower to the ground will be ready for next week’s Miami Grand Prix.

The German car manufacturer has been held back so far this season by porpoising, which has forced the team to run its W13 with a much higher ride height than it was originally designed for.

Raising the platform is costing it a lot of downforce, but the outfit remains convinced that if it can switch off the porpoising then it can unlock a lot of pace by being able to run the car where it was originally intended.

The team has worked hard to get to the bottom of the problem and it is now hoping that it can bring developments to Miami that will offer it a proper indication about whether or not it has begun the properly get on top of the issue.

Trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin said the updates would not instantly solve all of Mercedes’ problems, but would at least confirm if it is heading in the right direction.

If I were a betting man.... I'd walk away from this bet. My gut says the initial race will be "flawed" on site, look ok on TV... but would be doubtful of it happening repeatedly..... OR it will be a huge success.... dont think there is any room in between.

Won't Cosmopolitan be a good hotel to stay in? Book a room with a view of the street layout.

Ferrari's PU has achieved its reliability targets, and both drivers will have maximum possible power in Miami. This will be alongside the new ERS components, which should also provide extra power.

This is absolutely huge for Ferrari, they will gain around 15hp of peak power (based on previous rumors by insiders) AND additional average power (5hp?) due to the ERS (which cannot increase the peak power per the rules). Considering 0.2s/lap for every 10hp, around 0.4s/lap.

Turn it up to FU... It should have been in Italy! IDK about Miami. I guess maybe the weather was not the best for it, I would love to be in in Miami for it!
