Risk averse is their business model ..... has been for centuries .... as I had pointed out to me in London at the Lloyds coffee shop Look up asbestosis, scumbags offloaded the trouble to others
Yeah they’re a necessary evil. I got rid of my full health cover, went back to extras. Was crazy money, better off using my own funds if required!
Yeah, I know. I was taking it a bit far. But re the traffic accident, we have discussed more than one F40 smash here (for example), and I for one consider an F40 more "special" than a Daytona, but that's just me. The point I was - clumsily - trying to make is that every accident is unfortunate as far as the unlucky owner is concerned. It's no less unfortunate if the car they've crashed is a 348, 360, or any other car. Even a non-Ferrari. I have no more or less sympathy for someone based on what the car is, and there's no reason why it shouldn't be discussed or speculated on just because of what the car involved is. All IMO, of course.
That will be up to the risk adjusters ,if its profitable it will continue ....look at the entry fee what % goes to insurnce and x it that will give you an understanding , rather then going off half cocked ! In fact the insurnace cover by MotorSport Austraila is the following for that event . 3rd party damage excess 10k (Public risk) Personal insurnce for drivers and crew wide open entrants are liable for there medical costs BUT in some circumstances will be refunded , no mention of excess. 3rd party insurnace all cars to be covered as per rego . From memory most life and disability insurance excludes motorsport ? Pat and others who now compete would know more .
It’s killing lots of things - interesting discussion on Q&A last night re a national re-insurance scheme since FNQ can’t get cyclone insurance, SEQ can’t get flood insurance, and huge chunks of the bush can’t get fire insurance! Amazing how everyone is a free marketeer until...

There is one in Melbourne , that is being converted to XKSS body shape after the owner was called Batman at a servo!
I saw the new Batman movie the other day ..... it was dark, both visually and mentally , waiting desperately for the next Spiderman movie The new Batman reminds me of Gary, but without the keen sense of humour Gary is renowned for ........... oh wait, I'm thinking about someone else
