My left front brake is sticking on my 1976 308 GTB so it's time to address calipers and lines after many years. Should I attempt to rebuild the calipers or should I just replace them? Also, are Goodridge brake lines still a good option?

Front are easy to rebuild and kits from biggred. I have a spare new set of stainless lines you can have for £20 less than usual prices (I’m in UK so may be too far if you are Hartford CT and not Hartford UK)

My front brake cylinder was sticking. Decided to rebuild myself. Getting the cylinders out proved difficult. Air pressure was not enough. Soaked several days in penetrating oil and out they came!

The rear calipers use the same handbrake mechanism as the 914 Porsche. Search the Utube site to find several videos on rebuilding them. It is pretty straight forward, just a bit fiddly.

For a long time everytime I step on my brake the car always pulls to the right, so I took my front calipers off and sent them to PMB Engineering. Who specializes on rebuilding these calipers with excellent finish or end results. The pistons are also clocked the proper way. Here’s the link: https://www.pmbperformance.com/FerrariBrakes.html

And for the stainless steel braided brake hose, I went with Exotic Car Gear. I like their brake hose because both ends of the hose has the swivel fittings which makes the installation a lot easier and makes future removal easier too. Here’s their link:

2018, I paid $500 for all four calipers to be rebuilt. I told them not to coat or plate the calipers. I was going for preservation / platinum award. Give them a call and they will tell you the cost.

Click on the links I posted above, it will give you the price for both the caliper and the stainless steel brake hose.
