The only one I’m concerned about is with the AF package and carbon paneled doors. They look so great, and I think I’ve read that they aren’t on the spider.
I wanted the carbon door panels like in the coupe, and was told no. I asked about TM for that and wasn't given a clear answer. So I took that as a no as well. I did get the door inserts in glossy carbon fiber, but I really wanted in addition to the inserts the door panels, which would have been in matt, like the piece behind the seats. Does anyone know why the carbon fiber door panel is standard on the coupe AF package, but one can't get it on the spider AF. Wouldn't the door panels be identical?
I will inquire as well, though it looks like it's not a possibility. I would think due to airbag placement or something along those lines...It was a really cool feature, and the rest of the cockpit will be covered in glossy and matt cf. shame...
yes that's the biggest shame but this car is so ridiculously awesome that the last thing on my mind when I drive it is the door cards
Maybe you are right about the air bag. Initially I was thinking that with loss of stiffness from the fixed top, the carbon fiber door panels would vibrate too much and cause noise. I did find out that 488 Pista spider and 458 Aperta have carbon fiber door panels available--so that seems to negate my vibration thought.
Something about the stiffening of the chassis was on my mind as well. The SpecialeA has full carbon doors, but all Pistas are merely an insert, at least as far as visible carbon goes. Do we have any opportunities to use interesting fabrics on the doors? Or only leather that is designed for airbag usage?
If it is an airbag issue, then for sure you're only going to be able to use limited "automotive leathers".
Our SF90 Spider finally arrived and first impressions are magnificent! Different eManettino modes need some mental adjustments for us but acceleration is extreme and car feels planted on normal roads. Only issue we noticed is the squeaky roof when closed and on bumpy roads. Anyone with a spider has the same and can share experience, please let me know. Thanks
Yes, congratulations, and please provide pictures. Regarding to the roof, do have experience with any of the 458, 488 or F8 spiders? If so, is the squeaky roof different with the SF90? If there is, the obvious solution is not to close the roof! My wife has a F8 spider, and I've not noticed a squeaky roof when it is closed. Again, congratulations, and looking forward to seeing your pictures.

What is the price increase for the larger painted shields, compared to the small "regular" ones? I'd appreciate opinions on this for the spider. My configuration is not yet locked in. I have the launch spider AF spec without CF wheels--have diamond cut wheels with regular yellow center caps. I never considered the painted shields, because I thought the price was about $10K, but seeing it on more cars, it was grown on me. Thanks!
Recall 14k ordered on 812GTS & SF90AF spider - not sure what standard run. Go for it - maybe cf center caps with black calipers.
Thank you for the pricing information on the painted shields. The difference is pretty high compared to "LOGO" which is about $1700 on my price list which is now a couple of years old.
I think that I will pass on the painted shields, due to cost. With the launch blue, and silver and yellow stripe, paint cost will be about $70K. Exterior is the launch AF spider, but with diamond wheels, and aluminum brake calipers. All carbon fiber available, even the engine items and under the front hood. Interior will be all carbon fiber available, Daytona racing seats (carta da zucchero with black slats--but skunk stripe carta da zuccero), grigio chiaro is the thread color.
