Way too cheap, crash is definitely coming https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2002-ferrari-575-maranello-f1-auto/OAG-AD-20714764
Nice car, where we live there’s a street with the lovely houses by the river, they never come up for sale, now there’s 3 in a month, I smell a rat [emoji33]
Something is in the wind, houses listed near me are taking nearly a week to sell now .... couple of months ago they were gone overnight
I actually saw that car for sale on a Facebook Mackay Buy Swap Sell page around a month or so ago. A friend made contact with him when he saw it for sale online and the car is actually located in Mackay, not the Gold Coast. Two different sellers also, but the pics were the same. I thought it was a scam at first, but the Gold Coast seller admitted the car is located in Mackay. It was enough for my friend to walk away from it anyway.
It wouldn’t touch those properties Mike they’re on much higher ground but you never know it’s frightening when that rivers at full tilt.
Local real estate agent here says they now reckon the market peaked in October 2021. Agents windows now full of ‘for sale’ rather than ‘sold’ signs.
Was it that 996 Porker Pap?…Mate of mine is looking at one in Mackay..Is there anyone up that way whom you can trust to do a PPI?…
It certainly is an interesting point worthy of discussion. On one hand you've got cheap money drying up and Covid lockdowns ending. This will take the wind out of the sails of people's ability to afford and be bored enough to spend/make excuses to spend. On the flipside of course, depending on how bad inflation gets, things like rare cars/artworks/collectibles can often do quite well compared to other "investment" items. Personally I don't view mine as an investment, more an indulgence/hairloom/money pit so I don't speculate, but I do wonder what's going to happen to the broader luxury/collectable market over the next few years. Certainly average condition/common/non collectable-status cars that have gone up in value a lot over the last few years may very well take a healthy hit. I also wouldn't want to be in the position of making rash decisions on whether to buy or sell based on shortish terms in the fluctuations of values. Some of these cars don't come around very often, if at all.
It’s certainly odd, but the regular folks, especially the first time buyers are still queuing up to pay top dollar for their first home, I hope we’re all wrong for their sakes.
It’s scary out there, so much money involved and not a lawyer for miles, just come have a look, spend $1000 on a ppi praying the cars ok then hope the financial transaction goes well, not for the faint hearted [emoji51]
I believe it, the window will be full of for sale ads now while people still try to get top dollar for their homes before prices settle down in 22/23.
No sorry mate, it was that red 348 Spider in Mackay that I saw for sale. I just remembered, I have an ex-work mate that just moved there and set up his own w/shop. He's never worked on anything exotic, but he's definitely a good mechanic if you're interested in him taking a quick look? Let me know if you're keen man and I will get onto him.
Prices are already getting lowered here. Another sign of the change is a big 4WD and off-road caravan parked on the corner with a ‘for sale’ sign - people had been queuing up for these things until now.
