Miami GP 2022 Pre-Race Thread

ESPN says they will cover the W series, so a quick look on line only shows them covering the race Sunday morning at 1030 US Eastern time on ESPN3 in Spanish. Looking forward to at least getting to see them race, check out the track. Abbie Eaton is one of the drivers, she was the hot shoe on The Grand Tour.

 

Having been to this location many, many times, I can’t even imagine the logistics involved in this project. I’ve been a bit critical and more than a little skeptical, but so far, salutes to Steve Ross and his team for pulling this off. The promotional hype is another matter…….

 

+1 They deserve an A for effort.

 

Yep. While everybody else was whining about “supply chain” and “pandemic” they were getting it done.

 

It will be interesting to see how much it helps it in the straights, even more so, what it will sacrifice in the corners.

 

The Alfa one looks extremely TinTin. .

Looks interesting but I would have preferred 14-15-16 to be more of a Parabolica, carrying big speed onto the straight.

 

Maybe they’re think of The Miami Seaquarium….

You can really see how much less front aero the Ferraris had in comparison to the old Mercedes front

 

Aside weather related incident I have low hopes for this track … pretty boring

It looks very artificial, that's for sure, but it's too early to judge.

I only hope that we won't see many incidents occasioning yellow flags and safety car.
