So my first "long term" experience of a hybrid car over the last few days. Have been up in Darwin and they gave us a new hybrid Corolla with only 260km on the clock when I picked it up. We did 360km in it. I just filled it back up and it took 17.5 litres. So, about 4.8l / 100km. Nothing really wrong with it as a car but it hardly seems worth the effort given my boggo Golf only uses 1 more litre / 100km.

There was someone today who ended up the wrong way up as we had our drive day here on the Coast .... not one of us but some poor bugger went over the side of a cliff on the Numinbah road as you pass into NSW, on the way to Chillingham. Cops and fireys with abseiling gear going down to get the injured
Everyone shiny side up, although the only things really shiny were our livers. Everyone happy and smiling.
Yep. Rain stopped about 100km south of the border. Came back today and... rain started about 100km south of the border. Pissing down right now
