Michelle Obama down at Mercedes.
Didn’t quite catch the replay... are they coming in a little too wide off track (outside rear tire) on entry?
Yeah, I’m trying to figure out if it’s more placement or “simply” that they have to be just a little more patient on power coming through the right-hand part before transitioning to the left-hander. A bit of both, I guess?
Softs are getting worked on hard. Not a good race tire?? Heating up very much! Mercedes still have some pace but not leading pace it appears.
Mercedes appear to be back down the order. Not sure they will make the first 3 rows. Checo looking well sorted overall and Charles!
What happened to them? They looked OK yesterday. Today 15th and 17th in P3. It's between Red Bull and Leclerc. Sainz is far behind.
The flex of the Merc wing flap is not cheating. It is a safety device. It aids in providing more down force so that the car grips better and we all know that the better the grip the safer the car is. So that's it very simply a safety device not cheating. Now if Ferrari had it and Merc and RB protested more than likely it would be found to be an aero device and not allowed by the regs so could then be deemed to be cheating.
Yes goal for the weekend should be for both Charles and Carlos to bring it home hopefully in the top 4 Ferrari not completely dominant anymore so need to play it smart and look for opportunities instead of trying to be over aggressive and crash out
I am feeling like Ferrari does have something in reserve, but RB just has there deal more sorted out right now. The reliability issue for them still is a thing I think.
At this point, Sky has too many "commentators". Long interviews with the RB pit wall, etc. Lots of camera shots of cars sitting in garages. Um, guys: this is supposed to be racing coverage. Another track for "Formula Red Flag". Carlos seems to be having trouble coming to terms with this track. I don't blame him. I wouldn't want to drive on that pinball machine either. Monaco is only still on the schedule because of history. Not a track to emulate for new venues.
