Emergency brake / e-brake (most common in my area), parking brake, and handbrake (least common) are all known/said in the USA. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I would not like to think that a Ferrari parking brake would ever need to be used in an Emergency...lol I think it would end in an epic fail.
If you adjust both the star wheel on the brake drum and the cable, they work pretty well. Much better than the extra caliper on the V8s.
Great suggestion. I’m bleeding my brakes soon and will check it out. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
In my 280z, I had my idle set too low and after a spirited drive on a hot day in farmland, I was approaching a stop sign at an intersection that turns onto or crosses a highway where everyone is going 80 mph. My car shut off due to low idle and I lost my power brakes. I quickly pulled the e-brake and it locked up my rear wheels, stopping me in time. I’m always ready to do that and therefore I prefer manual cable linkage e-brakes/handbrakes/parking brakes. I’ll call it an emergency brake as that is its most valuable and important function imo. This would be a sweet color on my 348. I’m painting it soon and leaning towards red ;( Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Do it. I don't see any probability for the car looking other than fabulous in vinaccia. Keep us updated on the project
