Now that we know a new V12 is coming and it will not be discontinued, what is your prediction on near term values (within 6 months) based on this and a possible recession in the future?

Do we know if it will be slightly hybrid assisted/turbo?

That would give the "Last of ___________" cohort some equity.

Do you really see that much crossover from F12/812 to SUV ? Especially as the SUV will not realistically appear this year

Your inevitable query therefore fails on both counts.....

Or to put it another way:

I am going off the assumption they will put the new V12 in a GT car(s) as well. I was not trying to draw a link to the SUV.

It seems like every single Ferrari vehicle since the 1980s has been the "last of" something.

Anybody that pulls last whatever in this color and this stitching and this option package is trying too hard.

if you ask me last sticks and last non-electric are not window dressing.

The new Euro emissions compliant hybrid turbo computer simulation V12 with pistons the size of my weed wacker will decimate the value of those nasty loud massive galactically brilliant and monstrous planet destroying NA V12s. Anyone still owning one should repent and routinely self flagellate.

No one knows what impact new models have on previous ones especially when the tech changes so much and the next generation of buyers have different values.

nobody knows what the market will do. more pertinent question to the ferrari owners would be: will you sell your ferrari in a recession at a bargain price? I honestly don't know how many people stretch themselves to buy a ferrari to be forced into liquidating the car at a bargain price when the house of cards come crumbling down. I think it's probably the minority. hey but if that's the majority of people, I know i will be adding a couple more ferrari's during the next recession!

I am still in market for a like-new 812 SF but now feel less of an urgency, and being more selective in color/options etc. to be closer to how I would have configured it. Knowing that there is another v12 coming and my options aren’t limited to hybrid v6 etc led to this shift in mindset.
Additionally, will be interesting to see how equity market valuation compression eventually impacts discretionary purchases. Too new to this space to know, but watching/learning with curiosity.

the value of my 812 is my kids problem--not mine!

it won't be any less loud, quick, or fun because a new car came out

The 812GTS sealed / ended the need for a Daytona and it won't ever be exiting.
Sitting aside 16M Speciale SF90AF - anyone selling is going to be kicking themselves.

Prices are so high on F12/812's personally I'd wait it out to see what happens 2-3 years from now

I think most people think this is the last regular production V 12. Yes, you might be able to get a limited edition run, very limited as I understand it, in the new FUV, or even another car, but the idea of being able to order one and get it, unless you’re a VIP ain’t happening. Hence, prices will only go up.

    Things go up and down.
If the price matters and one has the patience to wait two years, they missed the whole premise and if you think I'm wrong ask the person who did buy one when they pull up in their V12.

Anyone who gives up their V12 today will be kicking themselves later.
Said this about Carrera GT at 300k and the V12's will end no differently - same about Viper Lambo etc. - the molds are done.

    I'm sorry, did I miss a NA V12 812 replacement announcement?

Not being snarky, trying to figure out what you're referring to.

The next v12 will most likely have a mild hybrid. Easy way to get emissions down and gives a decent hp boost. As a 812gts owner I can’t see desirability ever dropping. It checks all the boxes, has a beautiful shape and retains a mostly analog interior feel.
The sf90/s and new 296 gtb/s are monsters, insanely fast cars and are technologically state of the art. Maybe I’m getting old but the video game screens and strange electric motor and turbo sounds just don’t feel like a Ferrari. Technology is great but it stirs the mind and not the soul.

I’m always in the camp that if you want a Ferrari but you’re “waiting for prices to stabilize or go down” you can’t afford it. This discussion always comes up when new models come up and prices rarely go down quicker than normal depreciation….and nowadays prices aren’t going down at all….

Actually CGT was 440k msrp and now 2M.
Owned one and it died vs me - anyway they are now 4 - 5 times list.
I wouldn't be surprised to see 812GTS at F12tdf numbers
