Ferrari brought a new floor to Miami BUT only used it during free practice. The new flair is track specific hence why it will be used at Catalunya along with other upgrades to be introduced.

So to answer your question, @Bas is "not making this up" and I would suggest the so called allegations with any affiliation with Dr. Marko or Sainz's crashes have cost Ferrari $10 million is juvenile at best..

2 is more than 1, is it not?

How many floors has Red Bull used then? I can tell you:

in Bahrain they brought a different floor from the first test. In Imola they updated the same floor, which was the same spec just with different carbon layup, to make it lighter.

    Further upgrades are:
    Bahrain: tighter sidepod
Jeddah: Different beamwing and rear wing endplate
    Australia: Front wing end plate
Imola: Aforementioned floor but done in diffferent carbon lay-up, added a Ferrari style keel splitter, and redesigned brake calipers
Miami: No upgrades but hollowed out some components to save weight

Ferrari meanwhile, as you say yourself has brought 2 different floors so far. They tested different wings, a new rear diffuser, engine parts and will now bring a big upgrade.

So far they haven't used the floor in a racing situation, buy they brought the floor all the same. The fact they didn't use it must mean it's not worked (yet). If it worked, it would be on the car.

I've been a long time Ferrari supporter as my many posts here will surely attest, so spare me the ''dr marko'' ******** drama. As for your Sainz cheapshot, I already disagreed with the figure Marko gave, let alone yours.

Nugnes who initially wrote the article that Red Bull spend 75% of their budget is talking totally out of his ass. Now that Ferrari seemingly doubles down on it with some sort of daft report, showing that....Red Bull hasn't spend all their money? Makes me wonder what the **** they're doing. It makes Ferrari look weak.

That "new floor" in Miami just ended up being the original floor with added skids. Most likely Ferrari never even planned to run that in a race in the first place, just get data for the proper new floor. The new rear wing was the one being dropped for being track specific, would have made the already bad graining of tires even worse. The new floor they are introducing in Barcelona is a product of long work, and supposed to be used atleast until summer break in all races.

    All valid points Bas,
Fact is Red Bull recovered 1 sec/lap on pure pace since Bahreïn test gives us the wrong feeling they have spent much more than Ferrari.

Yes but that's the thing...Red Bull has brought few parts and they all worked great, giving the extra pace. But added to that we don't know if they had setup issues in Bahrain or not, just trying to find the window....with the way they had no idea how to warm the tyre up in the first race that may just be the case.

Who knows, maybe Ferrari cracks this upgrade and they're a second clear of the rest, as it unlocks the true pace of their car.

Don’t want to wade into the cost debate but admittedly Ferrari have done very little in terms of (visible) upgrades compared to what RB have done so far.

The floor mods Ferrari have done are basically one-off hacks pre-season to try to quell the bouncing: the floor step cut-outs (like most other teams)—the cut-out with skids (at Bahrain, see below) and the McLaren-type deflector which they adopted for the races so far—and the one-off test at Melbourne (I think) where they altered the diffuser exit area, probably to correlate with testing.

So, in effect, apart from the single items mentioned they’ve only had one floor design, one (modified) floor step design and one side pod design in production so far this year.

I estimate that the amount of mods that Ferrari are to bring this weekend will in effect match the extent of RB’s visible updates. What needs to be seen if’s how many more upgrades each bring and at what cadence.

Unclear: Both teams have spent considerable money chasing performance.
RB has gained more than F
Perhaps some of the updates F brought simply did not work very well while RB's did.

Aston Martin will likely have both cars upgraded to new spec now instead of just Strolls.

Alfa will come with a big upgrade that looked very promising in their simulator, though Zhou won't receive all parts just yet.

Mercedes will also bring a substantial upgrade package, already tested yesterday.

Ferrari of course will bring their big upgrade as well.

Red Bull will hollow out certain parts and I think a small upgrade, weightloss could be as much as 7KG.

Vips will drive FP1 in Perez's car
    De Vries will drive Albon's.
    Kubica will drive Zhou's.

Seriously what sense does this make? Put De Vries in Latifi's car and leave Kubica in the garage. Zhou needs seat time.

I think it has something to do with teams having to offer junior drivers seat time once or twice a year...

Makes zero sense to me as well.

Teams have to do it 2 times this season, and each driver has to give up his seat for atleast one FP session, including Lec and Max

Can Kubica still be considered as a "junior" ?
