Ya - Hagerty just told me to raise the value of my '78 GTS to $100,500. Again, not sure if it's real.

They also had me raise the value of my '89 C4 to $90,000, which seems legit.

 

'89 Corvette for $90K? or did you mean $9K? Or are you writing satire?

Hagerty wants to increase their premiums
So, if you ask them what the value is to insure your car, they point you at their chart which will be higher values than market values.

 

How does Hagerty not know the difference between "Concours" (as in, a contest/competition) and "Concourse" (as in, a large open area in a train station or airport).

Geez!

 

If you look at their chart, at the top of the page, they do call it correctly. I don’t think that the spreadsheet is from Hagerty.

Yes, should be interesting given the last project Dino just sold for 44k (47 with BAT fees). Looks like a very good example.

Why would anyone pay a dime for that ragged out POS? I had a 1980 308 GTSi that was a great driver and cosmetically nice and it was only $45K.

Plus, it didn't have that awful deep front spoiler that totally destroys the lines of the car.

I am trying to wrap my head around that as well. Restoring that rust bucket is not going to be an easy job. Maybe a breaker? who knows!
