Bat really knows how to orchestrate a business plan ...They save the same models to sell after each one is fully sold and then BAM! another of the same car to hedge upon.

The most interesting thing to me about BaT is that is so perfectly captures those who won’t put even minimal effort into buying from a private party at a significant discount. Simply fascinating.

I suspect many bat sales are never consummated.

It ain’t sold ‘till the cash is in hand.

Id agree… the overpaying on there for sometime the same car which was advertised for a long time and not sold at a lesser price is mind boggling

looks like he is attaching a $10-12/mile hickey to the cars, if we grade them solely on mileage and assume all other variables are the same.
    is this fair?
as usual i dont think mileage should be this important a differentiator, but of course i am talking my book since i drive all my cars a lot.....

The low-mile fetishists (or masochists?) are a well known phenomenon.

Even more mundane, mass produced cars, command a huge premium when they have low mileage.

A Mercedes SL (R107) of which over 200,000 were made, will get over 100K $ if its has low teens mileage.

I do NOT profess myself to be a 512 expert by any means (am into the 360's) but didn't the BAT TR have the wrong luggage? Every commented on the site and so called F car experts raved about the luggage, but it said 512 Testarossa and not 512 TR. Shouldn't TR's have the designation on it's luggage 512 TR and NOT 512 Testarossa?

For real?!? That just made my day. Always wanted. 512 but couldn’t get over not having the Testarossa name.

This BAT sale smells of market making. Same high bidder cornering the BAT market. Why wouldn’t he when it jacks up his last purchase. Doesn’t feel susatsinable or that it will carry over outside of BAT. Dash plus mileage are big factors - though to me both negatives. 93 looks much more real and interesting. Let’s see where that lands.

Are You saying that....Bat is being used as a vehicle to inflate collector car prices....
Thats would be a crime...It has been done before..ie.. The daytona scam in the 1980's..
I remember it...That really set the market on fire..

    Hmmmm... Bat...good or Baaad
