Its not as as bad as losing to Dan Ric by 70 points...
Or, that Ricciardo outscored Max the 3 seasons they were together. Danny is obviously the better driver.
We saw many races when Bottas was able to shield Hamilton perfectly well from other opponents. The Merc was good and if you play it right, nobody can come close enough to overtake you - especially if you are not paid to win. Bottas knew perfectly well where he could stall the following car(s).
And in those 3 years, Hamilton won more races, finished higher 65% of the time when both were running in the end, and out qualified Button consistently.
And there's the problem when you cherry pick numbers... I can't wait to hear from the "Three year" guys on this little nugget of info.
In ONE out of THREE years. Sadly, there's no "Participation Trophy" for outscoring your teammate when NEITHER of you won the REAL prize...the WDC.
In addition to outscoring Hamilton ... Button also had more podiums than Hamilton, in the three years they were teammates.
U mister are a master facts manipulator. I don’t change them u do. 2-1 is all that matters. U choose to change the story blinded by your dislike of the guy. By all accounts what matters is how many times u win not some silly manipulation u always try to Make. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
werewolf certainly not a Hamilton fan here but u certainly are a Hamilton hater. I’d say most ur posts since joining were about him. 2- I never answer such questions. Now I’ll ask u one what matters the most? That someone beats you twice ? Does a 3 year point championship even exist? Nah it’s year by year and it’s 2-1 Hamilton…. We can debate all day long and u can tell Me why and how lucky he is bla-bla-bla who cares … it’s just what it is. Doesn’t make him The greatest or anything Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And Hamilton had 10 victories to 8… But let me guess victories only count over a 2 year period divided by 32 multiplied by square 2 -2 for fia assitanxe which means Lewis won 2 versus button 8. Got it. I think I’m getting u guys’ logic now Feels good to make it up as u go along and always be right lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
In the 3 years they were teammates: Hamilton finished 4th, 5th and 4th in the driver standings ... for an average standing of 4.33 over 3 years Button finished 5th, 2nd, and 5th in the driver standings ... for an average standing of 4.00 over 3 years On average, Button finished higher in the standings ... consistent, of course, with Button's higher points total over 3 years. ==> Button got more points, more podiums and a higher average standing during his 3 years as Hamilton's teammate.
It's quite simple, really. For many things in life ... be it the performance of a team or athlete, or maybe the measurement of a signal in engineering, etc etc ... we often talk about "peak" performance or value, in comparison to the "average" performance or value. Its fair to say that Hamilton's "peak" performance was higher than Button's, for two out of three years ... but, when considered in-total over the span of those three years, Button's performance was higher "on average" ... more total points, more total podiums and a higher average standing.
^^^ Any comments on Daniel and Max 3 year run together or does that lessen the Jensen and Lewis point you are so desperate to make. Thought so.
Data is data. Anyone who can add ... can calculate who scored more points, and more podiums, during their time as teammates. That's the only point being made. Let me know if you need help with the arithmetic.
Cute. I lost my TI-30 so I can't do the math... And Lewis is STILL a 7 time WDC. And that is also DATA that anyone can understand. PS. At the end of the year, who will have more points, Lewis or George?
And 10 or 20 years from now that's all there will be. But right now it's not hard to say he had the better car or we are (almost) all tired of his boring schtick.
As a head of data analytics for one of the biggest fintech in the country I can tell u I leave and breathe data. I build statistical model for a living so trust me u need a lot of help in building any sort of model. U could stand a chance though in building a bias model. We have openings if u are interested at a junior level. Happy to train you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
... and yet, you struggle with simple arithmetic (and forming sentences). I'm not "building models" ... I'm simply adding. Once again, that point is lost on you
Right. So what you're saying is that based on your sophisticated models and analysis Hamilton scored more points than Button during their 3 years as teammates? Have I got that right?
