When Michael was at the team (so pre-accident) it was all about building the team up into what it became in the hybrid era. This wasn't a secret. Michael and Brawn don't get anywhere near the amount of credit they deserve for their work.
He set the hard working dedication needed to be sucesfull into the team, Mercs development after MSC left is credited to Rosberg / Ham, Ham / Botas and now Ham and GR, and ofc the team behind the drivers.
He didnt build or design the car, or engine, or did any thing on any car or even had a say on any thing to do with a merc car since he left. And certainly did not directly help the team lift any titles since he left either, Trying to claim other wise is silly. He is only credidted with the hardworking never give up attitude that mercs success was built upon and continues to promote.. To suggest MSC was helping Merc dsesign its future cars, even past his life changing accident, and all in advance of regualtions yet set in stone is bemussing.
No, your trying to change what you meant when you said " Lewis is riding on the coattails of Michael Schumacher. " you obviously meant, That MSC is the sole reason for Mercs past succesful cars and future cars success, and LH has had no say in the development of the Merc car in the 11 years he has been a Merc driver. You are trying to back track on that LH is nothing, doesnt develop the car and so on and so on and so on, its all been MSC. LH has had far more say in Merc than MSC ever had.
NEGATIVE!!!!!!! That's your interpretation...... MSC is the foundation for Mercedes success after MSC's departure. So, really.....I was right about Lewis riding on the coattails of MSC.
No your not, the car was far from challenging for titles when he left, and wasnt till after a full season and into the following one in which the regulations had changed and we was racing under a different era, that they started and did challenge. So really had no input at all towards the cars development, as before he joined for his two seasons the car was built for JB and MSC only got the call because of contract talks with button failed, MSC had very little input into the development of the car as Rosberg was considered the teams long term driver thus he was leader of developing the car, not MSC, untill Brawn went for a cup of tea to talk LH into joining, rest is history...
It is quite the contrary and not bemusing (or “bemussing” as you suggest) with just a little critical thinking. Michael did help design future cars in “advance of regualtions (regulations)” as you stated. Let us recall him joining this particular F1 team, “Scuderia Ferrari,” in 1996 with the sole purpose of making he and Ferrari world champions, again; he succeeded with World Championships in 1999 (WCC), 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. The last driver to win a championship with Ferrari prior to Michael was Jody Sheckter in 1979. The last Ferrari constructor title prior to Michael was 1983.
That was Ferrari not merc, he was a last min do brawn a favour driver as spoken by brawn him self after talks woth JB failed on contract renewal, and brawn him self only gives MSC credit for helping build the team not the car. He had very little input if any at all into the cars development for the 2014 regs.
Here again, allow me to doubt that very much. MSC departure was soon followed by Ross Brawn leaving and the tandem Lauda-Todt taking control. Brawn was even bought out for him to leave, and MSC simply retired. Clear to me that Mercedes wanted to build a new team (Lauda recruited Hamilton) headed by Wolff. On top of that 2014 saw the begining of the hybrid formula that was completely different to what existed before. It has been repeated many time on this site that Mercedes worked on the hybrid technolgy since 2007. So what kind of imput could MSC have then ?
He can say it all day, but doesn't make it true. Actually, the more he says it, the less likely people are to believe it.
Personally I doubt very much that a driver withour an engineering degree would be capable of doing such things. It takes years through technical college, engineer school, science university to be part of a design team, and MSC didn't have that.
A wanna-be Michael Jordan. He's short a couple of: 1) Championship Rings 2) MVP titles 3.) Avg. pts in the playoffs 4.) Career avg. pts. 5) Leadership skill and talent in ONE team.
I don't doubt any of what you stated. I'm simply stating MSC helped Mercedes develop the cars......again-->W01 thru W05....to further the development of the W06 and so on. So in essence, Lewis is riding on the coattails of MSC's development with Mercedes to develop the cars THAY CAME BEFORE THE W06. I never said MSC went to AMG and said, let's develop a hybrid formula engine and drew up the schematics and had the engineering prowess to develop a turbo hybrid engine. I believe Ron Dennis had a play in Lewis's role in picking Mercedes when they went to a full works team in 2014, along with Niki Lauda as well.
If I could understand just half of what you’re trying to explain via misspelling, grammar and run-on sentences, I’d be more willing to continue this. Fortunately, what Michael did with Ferrari is fact regardless of your doubting it could be done.
Right. As a driver feedback skills easily transcend any advanced degree. Hell, just ask any of the engineers you speak of!
Who was it that decided the Merc of that year had the wrong wheelbase ? Brawn or Michael ? Not arguing, I just want to know.
