    Hi gang.

Does any of you know if there's any adjustments possible on the standard CF seats on the SF 90? There's no lifter, but was wondering if they can be moved up or down like the racing seats without the lifter. Feel like I sit very high up. This is the seat type. From my understanding - electric lifter goes down over the rails vs manual sits on top of rails. Not sure how you can fix the issue maybe retro fit electric.

    Thank you.

Definitely not interested in the electric seats in this car. I believe there was a manual seat lifter option for the CF seats, RSES I believe, I just did not get it. I was thinking more along the lines of there being some adjustability that can be performed with tools. In other cars with the CF seats in the Pista etc. which can be done with tools if there's no lifter optioned. Would just seem very odd to me if the CF seats are completely fixed if not optioned with the RSES lifter.

Anyone else know more? I ask here because my dealer is somewhat vague about it all.

Not what I was saying. Retro fit the carbon seat with an electric lifter - I ordered the carbon with electric lifter. Suggest looking how it's attached with the dealer and see if it's possible to retro fit - doubt a dealer is going to Swiss cheese a car rail / seat.
Simply order the parts from dealer needed and have a good race shop perform the work.

I looked in the owner's manual and I don't see anything about up and down movement without seat lifter option. Only forward and back. One would think though that it would be possible to fix it in a higher or lower position, but I do not have knowledge of that.

Not ordering the manual lifter is a huge mistake. It adds no tangible weight and what is the likelihood that the seat height will be totally suitable and comfortable. Resale will be impacted as well.

The OP claims to have purchased the SF90 many months ago, has driven it for multiple kms and on many tracks, yet he has no knowledge on whether the driver's seat height can be adjusted. He owns multiple Ferraris and over a long period of time yet his dealer with whom he must have a long and close relationship is not capable of answering his query nor it seems has any interest is requesting an answer from Ferrari. This is from the man who dispenses advice and knowledge like a vending machine dispenses candy bars. When one speaks often enough, the truth inadvertently becomes revealed.

    1. I've seen plenty of SF90 cars without them. Furthermore my dealer just sold one without and it, and it was advertised at the same price as the cars with it.
    2. It can be retrofitted.
    3. The seat can be moved, just like it can in a 458, 488 or F8 without lifter - dealer did it today and it took less than 10 minutes for both seats.
    4. My car was an early atelier order, and the lifter was not an option at the time.

Why did you feel the need to tell me that it might hurt resale? It was never an issue, nor is it correct. And most of all, it had nothing to do with the subject as I'm not selling the car.

You apparently completely failed to read my post where I said that my dealer did not know. First thing I did, was to ask there after that. I know it can take time to get an answer via the dealer route, hence why I came here in case someone knew Now it is now answered and fixed.

All of this nonsense because I'm not as into McLarens as you are. Give it a rest Coincid.

In earnest. I do not wish to engage with you Coincid. Please show some composure and respect that.

Thank you. Yes the owners manual does not mention this. If memory serves, I don't recall having ever seen it in any owners manual of other cars with CF seats. They only mention the lifter.

Yes, and mistakenly I looked because I was foolish enough to think that you might
have a constructive and helpful input.

Guess I gave you too much credit.

Why don't you spend some of that energy on the McLaren forum? You don't currently own a Ferrari, and it seems to me that most of your input on these boards only serves to stir the pot and be negative.

@Cocoloco Can you confirm that the electric lifter does lower the seat further than manual?

I drove a SF90 AF coupe at Sonoma with the electric lifter on carbon racing seats...no head room issues. Then I sat in the demo spider with manual carbon racing seats...headroom issues. I've asked my dealer and they don't know. (see my other posts with pics). Was it coupe vs spider or electric vs manual seats...arrgghhh.

I have a deposit on a spider (still no committed build slot) and headroom is my primary open concern as I always barely fit. It would be awesome if this forum could help me definitively answer this question.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it’s RSES code, and it’s electric switch this time instead of a plastic handle. Very surprised you said it wasn’t an option on an Early Atelier Car. Essential option for my car, as I’m 6”3….

Would you mind telling me how it was done? I have a 296 coming and didn't order the lifter.

    Thx in advance
