    Interesting that delivery noted as Jan 73. My car is 03828 and registered in the UK in May 72

    there was a real gas crisis in usa. many exotics sat on showroom floors.

    That's true Ed but the OPEC crisis didn't hit until the 3rd quarter of 1973. Ferrari serial numbers don't follow a perfect chronology. US cars had to be shipped to port and then to the USA which typically took 2-3 weeks. The factory probably waited until they had 20-30 cars headed for the same POE(and paid for hopefully). Bear in mind that January in the Northeast isn't exactly sportscar season. It wouldn't be surprising if the car was in dealer inventory for a few months.

    03828 (RHD!) was completed at the factory 14 April 1972.
    Original owner Gerard Ronson got it shortly afterwards.

    He seemed very interested, but no answer to my last message sent two days ago. Strange people and too stupid that the documents can't be reunited with the car.
