Are the Bread and Butter classic cars going to be worth anything value wise in 2030?

Asking here is actually a pretty good idea.
History shows that whatever the collective here decide is going to happen, the total opposite is what will actually happen. :p

...My gut feeling unless super low in production numbers , worthless.

    Why

    Fuel cost
Lake of shops working on 'em
Banned from city useage or a tax
    Taxes
    Social issues .

While its not a great concern for me as I don't have a great sum in classic car values .

But I can see a time very soon when many of the issues I mentioned will bring prices crashing or cars unsellable .

Pre war cars unless super rare unsellable

Large British and American V8s worthless

Is a Dino 246 going to be worth 700k in 2030? NO

Is a 280SL Benz going to be worth 300k in 2030? NO

    Right. I'm off to buy a Dino 246 and a 280SL Benz.

Guaranteed to be worth $5m each in a few years.

You've got nothing to worry about. Your cars will always be worth whatever it is they're worth, even with starship mileage.

I also think special cars will always be worth a lot (within the usual ups and downs of course).

There will always be fuel available. Don't believe anything else.
It will become more expensive, but whom cares?

The more expensive the better ....less on the roads is better .

The future is bright for those of us who enjoy long trips , as within time the electric thingy will take up and be more suited to long distance travel.

Even if some of the utility is stripped by way of the inability and difficulty to maintain and drive - they are a finite resource, and most considered rolling art. When everything in the future will be shaped like a tesla with no soul (love teslas from a utility point) then i think classic cars more-so will be attractive from an aesthetic point. Add to that old films (even the reoccurrence of the 911 in Top Gun Maverick) will leave a desire in peoples hearts. I mean an F40 isn't exactly the easiest car to drive especially with congestion in built up cities and dont think about driving it in the wet - prices continue to increase.
