As part of the restoration it looks like that duct tape needs replacing...

I really like shots like that where you can see the underlying "bones" of the chassis structure. Shows why they had little, beautiful, front chrome bumperettes on 206/246 - there's such minimal chassis structure in front of the front suspension there is nothing to support something that would be a real bumper anyway ;).

Actually it is going to get a "blasting". I've forgotten the technical term. Although whether anything will be left afterwards is another question.

I was told it did have a sunroof although that doesn't explain the enormous hole where the roof would have been which is far too large for any sunroof. It can't leave much structural integrity either even if it wasn't all rust.

Apparently, the owner wants it restored to Concours standard!!! But... he hasn't seen it yet. Or. presumably, seen what the bill would be!!

It looks like it has the same level of front end rot that #05596 had after being stored for many years in a garage that had a leaking roof. I don't know what happened to this car after it was sold at auction several years ago now. It had a rusted roof section as well that would likely have required a complete new skin fabricated. Could it be the same car?

These days you can " restore " a car from just the chassis plate up. At what cost and if it makes sense and is actually an old car is apparently up to the owners.

I am still amazed how great a forlorn Dino with a bite off its nose, still looks fantastic!
Not many cars can have bragging rights to that extent. Maybe my daughter could make a painting of it....:)

PS. Might anyone have a High Definition shot of the Dino vs. Godzilla?
I think my daughter is interested :)

After all, it was like this only once, and by now it is another perfectly restored Dino...
    Possibly Silverstone Auctions might?

Thank you, all i know is the car was ordered through MCM Harrah and was delivered in California. Checking Raab's serial # book there were some other special cars on the same assembly series like convertibles and maybe special order cars on the same day. If the Dino in this thread indeed had a sunroof it could be hard to verify with the factory. Build sheets were not 100% on some details me thinks.
