Drove by the circuit earlier today and it was closed to traffic (cars anyway; not sure about bikes) and no access to regular car traffic until after the race.

In the past I would drive the circuit the actual week of the race, so curious why this is now. Maybe RedBull installing secret equipment, LOL.

All of this sounds nice to my ears.

 

You’d think less of it if you visited in the winter but, admittedly, this is the nicest time of the year and we were reminded of how nice the Expo ‘67 and GP site is driving around yesterday.

This past weekend was gorgeous here—too bad the race wasn’t held then. Hope it doesn’t rain in two weeks’ time.

Yes, literally 15 minutes drive and it’s within sight on my drive to work every day. We stopped by yesterday—to verify the veracity of the pic posted by @jgonzalesm6 —on the way to lunch.

F1 boys weekend is always the best weekend of the year, having missed the last 2 years, this year will be something special!

Side note... Does anyone have any idea how to get onsite or casino parking?

 

I have a last-minute opportunity to attend the Montreal race. Looking for three grandstand tickets (race day only would be fine) if anyone here has extras or is unable to go. Thanks in advance for any help!

Colder weather should help ferrari regarding reliability and of course lower graining on tyres...however if Lec needs a new TC...

 

They called for a bunch of rain this past weekend and it was beautiful, so I'm hopeful for a nice weekend. Either way after 2 years off I'm going to love every minute at the track.

 

Same compounds as Monaco and Baku.

I think LEC is in with a good chance if they can cobble together a decent PU from all the leftover bits.

Some think the failure yesterday was the ICE but I think the car still had power after the smoke show, so maybe the ICE survived but that means the 3rd turbo (probably turbine side) is gone so a penalty incoming. If it’s the MGU-H, he’s got allocation for one more.

 

Weather is nice but cooler Saturday 21C and Sunday 18C for day temperatures. Mix clouds and sun.

Friday has a chance of showers @58%
