Got my VIN today and the photo on the app now has the correct wheels and appearance rather than the generic.

It a tributo - I ordered and placed initial deposit (refundable) last fall about a month before the order books closed. Did my spec in February of this year and had to do an additional deposit at that time (non refundable) .

Great news! My F8 is on the boat!!
Order was placed back in July 2021. They're estimating that it should be at the dealer by August. Can't wait!

Anyone else sitting at Status 91? 2 months at 90, now 10 days at 91. Only 40 miles left to the dealer. I could have pushed it there by now.

 

Is your car on the Chicago Express? I got third production photo Saturday morning and confirmation this morning my Portofino M shipped out over the weekend when the Chicago Express was at Genoa. https://www.myshiptracking.com/vessels/chicago-express-mmsi-211839000-imo-9295268.

 

I'm not sure. How do you find out?

 

Just guessing and too much time reading Ferrarichat. Ferrari uses Chicago Express, Vienna Express, and CGM Dalila. I got my third production photo Saturday morning, which often means it is loaded on a boat. I checked the schedule at marinetraffic.com and Chicago Express was docked at Genoa, Italy, for three days, which seems to be the port Ferrari ships out of. My dealer confirmed this morning my Portofino M was loaded on a boat on 9 June.

Looking at previous port of calls, it seems to be Italy, France, Spain, New Jersey/New York, which makes docking in the US at the end of the month sound about right. Then another month (or more) for unloading, customs and to get from the east coast to the west coast (I'm in San Diego), which matches up with what you were told.

I could be wrong, but I'm feeling optimistic after ordering in March, 2021.

 

FYI, I received my photo April 4 and still status 90...

 

Appreciate the info, it's in inexact science and part of the fun. I'm just guessing and could definitely be wrong. My third photo showed up Saturday morning and I saw that Chicago Express was a Genoa, Italy. My dealer confirmed this morning it was loaded on a boat over the weekend while the Chicago Express was there, so I looked at past port calls to make a guess on when it would arrive. Another guess is that the "unloading / customs" process is so backed up at the the port of NJ / NY that a lot of cars are sitting there, still "technically" on a boat until clearing customs. Again, just guessing and happy to be corrected.

Tracking boats has now replaced hitting refresh on the MyFerrari app as my main hobby.

 

90 since early April here. The unknown variables are time to load into container/boat and time to get through customs. Either way, hopefully speedy deliveries for all.

 

I was told "on a boat" as well when hit 90. I believe it actually signifies that it has started the shipping process.

 

I’m status 90 as of June 2nd, have only two production pics on app and app still says waitlist..

Not sure where I’ll end up, but some reliable sources have said wait till end of August, otherwise if it misses the boat then September to December frame

 

My car came into the dealer on June 2nd, I pick it up on Friday, and the app still says wait list. It'll be interesting to see how long that status lasts once I'm driving it lol

 

Question for you….How about the configuration list? Has it populated? Mine only has 2 items on the exterior and apple CarPlay on the interior. It hasn’t populated with the full list ordered. I’m at status 90 on May 16th and still waiting for her.

 

Seems like Status 92 is the big number. At that point Ferrari of North America has it and it should arrive at the dealer in 2-10 days depending on location.

 

Wow, very strange in comparison to what I saw. The day my serial number popped up on the app (roughly two months after my full deposit and final spec), my entire configuration/spec was listed 'to the letter' on the app. This occurred on November 20th.

That is very strange. Literally the day after I did my spec the app populated the configuration will all my options including the Apple CarPlay, now mandatory, that I didn’t option. That said the illustration was generic (in Rosso Corsa ) with the wrong wheels, calipers etc until the VIN showed up and now the picture is correct.
