Comments like this one lead me to believe you guys know nothing about how physically taxing it is to drive an F1 , so absorbed hating Hamilton that any objectivity about anything he does or goes through is out the door.
For what it is worth , in my younger years , I raced IMSA at Sebring which is a very bumpy track and after a 3 hour race , I sometimes could not walk well for a few days , and I was not driving an F1 car . I will leave it at that

It's true. He always seems a bit whingey at times but also puts in a competitive performace regardless.

Forgive me, but after years of theatrical performances, I don't know when lewis is speaking the truth or not.

I for one would buy it if say Leclerc or Kimi (ok now retired) would emerge from their car hurt.

From someone that has a long history of inventing very convenient excuses, and whose team would stand to make a big step forward if the FIA where to intervene with say a minimum ride height, yes I very much question how real or not these issues are.

You are probably too young to remember Nigel Mansell then !!!

He was a real artist who exagerated his condition at the end of a race, several times soliciting medical attention before leaving the cockpit !!

Even Ayrton Senna played that game. I have yet to see Hamilton doing that.

I would say this is one area where he deserves some slack . Yes , he is drama, yes , he is looking for attention and maybe he overplayed it , but I am sure he is hurting , he is old .
I don’t think Toto is making up stories about how bad it is and if it is so bad that he has to miss the Montreal GP next weekend , kudos to Lewis for finishing this race

There are others who have voiced an opinion about the discomfort they endure too.

Let's not forget that we are talking about professional drivers here, who train daily like athletes, spend hours in the gym to be at the best of their fitness to endure the effort driving fast cars with high level of G forces.
I don't see why they would need to exagerate the ordeal. Sure some endure it better than others, and some cars are probably not so harsh, but to read it dismissed as "theatrical performance" by someone who is no more than an armchair critic is not serious.

But that's my point...Lewis has a long history of over playing stuff, can't be mad when we think it's "boy cried wolff"

He’s closing in on 40. Getting old sucks, and I’m guessing he can’t physically hang. Still a good driver, even if he’s an annoying attention monger. It would be very interesting to see Bottas still at Mercedes, if they even let him outperform him, that is.

    Thanks.

Yes, I remember Mansell pushing his car and collapsing, but I had no idea of the place or the year.

I don't even know if it was legal then to do that; it certainly isn't now.

But that was Nigel all over: always in agonising pain at the end of a race.

Personally, I couldn't stand the bloke; he was an embarrassment, a complete windbag.

He was pretty stupid that’s right but he gave me goosebumps on some legendary races with Ferrari ( Imola 1990- Mexico 1990- Budapest 1989)

Or Diva ‘Drama is my middle name’ Loulou is setting the stage for his exit before the end of this season?

Mansell was gormless ("un nigaud" ?), but a fast driver. Not a natural mind you, but very persevering.
Nelson Piquet who hated him used to call him "a fast idiot", which described him exactly.
Outside of the car, his lack of manners soon appeared, and many Brits thought that reflected badly on us.
    His brummie accent* didn't help.

    *from Birmingham.

What has been clear to some of us for so long is finally undeniably obvious to all. He was a good driver in a great car. The stats belong to Merc.

‘Pushed’ like in ‘pushed out by his younger/faster/hungrier/more competitive team mate’?

    Agreed.
